Just after the buzz surrounding the controversial film Match, the free streaming service Tubi has dropped another horror film: The Melon Heads.
Based on a chilling piece of American folklore, the film tells the gruesome tale of a Midwest doctor who experimented on children with hydrocephalus, leading to their deformed appearances. Horror veteran Eddie “Fright” Lengyel (American Poltergeist: The Curse of Lilith Ratchet, Hellweek) brings this popular legend to terrifying life.
The plot follows two students. Their senior project leads them directly into the lair of the sinister Dr. Crow and the “swollen-headed monstrosities” he was initially commissioned by the government to treat.
