The supernatural thriller Borley Rectory: The Awakening is out now. Based on the true events of the most haunted house in England, the film is led by legendary actors Julian Glover and Patsy Kensit.

The film transports viewers back to 1900. Young Reverend Henry Bull and his sister, Kitty, inherit the duties at the family’s infamous home. What begins as a change in residence soon devolves into a desperate struggle against intense supernatural activity. As a demonic intrusion threatens their mother and sisters, they are forced to call on a family friend to uncover the sinister origins of the Borley Rectory.

Borley Rectory: The Awakening brings together a stellar cast anchored by two iconic screen veterans. Julian Glover is known for landmark roles in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes BackIndiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and For Your Eyes OnlyPatsy Kensit, known for her performances in Lethal Weapon 2 and Absolute Beginners, co-stars.

Rounding out the talented ensemble are Mark Wingett (Quadrophenia), Vicki Michelle (‘ Allo ‘Allo), Helen Lederer (Absolutely Fabulous), and Simon Phillips. Newcomers Jess Inchbald, Corneille Dion Williams, Charlotte Luxford, Jenna Wilson, and Lora Hristova round out the cast. 

The spine-tingling film is directed by Steven M. Smith (whose previous works include The Ghosts of Borley Rectory). Smith also co-wrote the screenplay with Christopher Jolley.

Borley Rectory: The Awakening promises an unsettling mix of ghostly apparitions and suspense that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The film, from Greenway Entertainment, is streaming now in both the US and the UK. Watch it on Apple TV, Fandango, or Prime Video
