For decades, the story of the Michigan Dogman—a towering, bipedal wolf-like creature—has persisted as one of America’s most terrifying urban legends. Now, acclaimed documentarian Seth Breedlove and Small Town Monsters are going beyond folklore. They are on a mission to investigate the chilling reality of the Great Lakes’ most infamous cryptid.

A Look Behind the Legend

Dawn of the Dogman delves deep into the shadowed forests of Michigan, exploring the consistent eyewitness accounts that have mounted since the late 1980s. The film centers on the personal accounts of the late author and researcher Linda Godfrey, who brought the terrifying Dogman legend to the broader public.

The documentary features extensive interviews with the journalists and researchers who chronicled the mystery, alongside stunning reenactments and historical records. The spiritual successor to the 2018 film The Bray Road Beast, Dawn of the Dogman promises to explore deeper than ever before.
