Sol Rodriguez (“Peacemaker”), Lou Lou Safran (Annabelle: Creation), and Booboo Stewart (Twilight franchise) will star in the giallo-inspired vampire film IllomenDeadline reports.

The Story

Illomen follows a young widow whose life begins to fracture after a sudden tragedy, drawing her into a confrontation with a mysterious, century-old vampire.

A Ton of Talent

The film recently wrapped production. Nathalia Pizarro makes her feature directorial debut. She co-wrote with Alex BaSmgardner and Talar Baker.

Joshua Homme (of Queens of the Stone Age), Cameron Cowperthwaite (“American Horror Story”), Bonnie Aarons (The Nun), Dax CampbellTayler Buck (Annabelle: Creation), Fivel Stewart (“Atypical”), and Jesse Hughes (of Eagles Of Death Metal) round out the cast.

“This film was designed to be felt as much as seen,” says Pizarro. “By embracing a saturated, giallo-influenced palette and a visceral, hands-on visual language, Illomen pushes classical genre into a raw, maximalist space between beauty and annihilation.”

Producers include Pizarro and Alix Brown of New American Picture Show. Brent Mata and Dax Campbell of HasBeen Productions also produce. Megan Freels Johnston, Aimee Schoof, and Isen Robbins of Intrinsic Value; and Max Neace are producing as well.

So, when can you watch it? Illomen is targeting a film festival run in 2026. We’ll keep you posted as more details come to light.

Peacemaker

While you wait for the film, check out the first two season of “Peacemaker” on HBO Max. The series is led by John Cena and is a follow up to Suicide Squad. “Peacemaker” is what happens when you take a hyper-masculine, chrome-helmeted douchebag with severe daddy issues and force him to save the world alongside a team of misfits. It’s a glorious, R-rated cocktail of ultra-violence, weirdly touching character growth, and a sentient eagle.

In James Gunn’s “Peacemaker,” Sol Rodriguez plays Sasha Bordeaux, a character with a deep history in DC Comics. She’s a tough-as-nails operative who crosses paths with Peacemaker’s team. In the comics, Sasha is famously a skilled martial artist and hacker who served as Bruce Wayne’s bodyguard before becoming a high-ranking agent for Checkmate (a secret government organization similar to A.R.G.U.S.).
