If you’ve been craving a horror movie that’s a little bit different—and twisted—your next watch has officially arrived. VIPCO and BayView Entertainment have released the indie horror flick Continuance, which is now available to stream worldwide on digital platforms. Whether you’re looking to rent or buy, you can find it right now on Amazon Prime Video.

 A “Prepper” Nightmare

We’ve all seen survivalist movies about people prepping for the end of the world. But Continuance adds a gruesome, cannibalistic garnish to the genre.

The story follows a pretty unconventional trio: a cannibalistic serial killer, his eccentric wife, and their loyal housekeeper. They can see the writing on the wall regarding an impending economic collapse. And they’ve decided it’s time to go off the grid and hide from society. However, before they can hunker down in peace, they need to go on one last supply run. In a movie about cannibals, you can probably guess that they aren’t just looking for extra batteries and bottled water.

Award-Winning Pedigree

Don’t let the “indie” label fool you; there is some serious talent behind the lens here. The film was written and directed by Tony Olmos, an award-winning filmmaker known for features like South of 8 and the uniquely titled Hemet, or the Landlady Don’t Drink Tea.

Olmos has a knack for getting the best out of his actors, having worked with talent like Brian Patrick Butler (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood). The cast of Continuance is led by Tony Gorodeckas, Teresa Suarez Grosso, and Noor Razooky, who earned a Best Actress nomination at the 2020 San Diego Film Awards.

Why You Should Watch

Continuance isn’t just a standard slasher; it’s a character study of a very “unique” family unit trying to survive in a world they think is ending. It blends dark humor, social commentary, and plenty of tension into a compact, practical horror experience.
