Looking for a series to sink your fangs into? CBS is officially moving forward with a comedy pilot called “Eternally Yours,” and they just found their lead vamp. Allegra Edwards (Upload, Ghosts) has signed on to play a 500-year-old wife who is officially over her husband’s centuries-old nonsense.

Being Married Forever is a Long Time

Imagine being married for five centuries. The spark hasn’t just faded; it’s probably turned to dust. The show follows Liz (Edwards) and Charles (Ed Weeks from “The Mindy Project”), a vampire couple who have been hitched since 1526.

While their romance used to be the stuff of legend, it’s now just… mundane. Liz is a history professor who actually wants to keep up with the 21st century, while Charles is basically the immortal version of a “get off my lawn” guy. To make matters worse, they’re currently spiraling because their daughter is dating a—gasphuman (Jaren Lewison from Never Have I Ever).

The Creative Geniuses

If this sounds like your kind of chaos, there’s a good reason. The show is being produced by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, the masterminds behind the hit show Ghosts on CBS. They clearly have a type (undead people with boundary issues), and we aren’t complaining.

This is actually a mini-reunion, too! Allegra Edwards previously guest-starred on Ghosts as Donna, the tropical resort ghost who caught Pete’s eye.

Why You Should Care:

The series is described as having a “What We Do in the Shadows” meets “Modern Family” vibe. We’ve all dealt with overprotective parents, but imagine if they could literally turn into bats and live through the Renaissance.

Eternally Yours” is still in the pilot stage, but with the “Ghosts team behind it, its chances of getting a whole series order are looking pretty “immortal.”
