Hold onto your black veils, because the ultimate goth-girl crossover is finally happening. Just days after we confirmed that cameras are rolling in Dublin, we’ve landed a massive update! The legendary Winona Ryder is officially joining the cast of “Wednesday” Season 3! This marks a huge reunion between Winona and director Tim Burton. Not to mention, it is a Beetlejuice Beetlejuice homecoming with our favorite creepy leading lady, Jenna Ortega, who played Ryder’s daughter.

The Burton-Verse Expands

While Winona’s specific role is still being kept under wraps (is she a teacher? a rival? a mysterious townie?), she isn’t the only Burton favorite heading to Nevermore. She’s not the only Burton favorite added to the roster. As we’ve been buzzing about, Eva Green is locked in to play Morticia’s “deranged” sister, Ophelia. After that blood-chilling Season 2 finale where Ophelia wrote “Wednesday Must Die” on her cell wall, it’s clear she is the big bad of the new season.

The rest of the Addams clan is back in full force. With Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzmán (Gomez), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley), Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester), and Joanna Lumley (Grandmama) returning.

Digging Up Family Secrets

Co-creator Alfred Gough has teased that Season 3 is going “deeper into the graveyard.” We’re going to meet even more members of the Addams family and uncover secrets buried for generations. Between Ophelia’s vengeance and Winona’s mysterious new character, Nevermore is about to get a lot more crowded—and a lot more dangerous.

When Can We Watch?

With production currently in full swing, we are crossing our fingers for a late 2026 release, though a move to early 2027 is definitely possible given the scale of the show.

If you need a refresher on the “Wednesday Must Die” cliffhanger, both Season 1 and Season 2 are streaming right now on Netflix. Here’s a look back at the season two trailer. Stay tuned for updates!
