Lock your doors and hide your necks—or don’t, if you’re into that sort of thing. The world’s first immortal rockstar, Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), has officially dropped his second single, “All Fall Down” (the first being “Long Face“), and it’s enough to make even the most jaded fledgling swoon.
Ahead of the highly anticipated season premiere of “The Vampire Lestat” on Sunday, June 7, on AMC and AMC+, the track “All Fall Down” is now haunting the airwaves on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. To sweeten the deal, AMC also released the show’s new opening title sequence, which uses the track to set a mood that is equal parts “glam rock” and “existential dread.”
The Sound: Bowie Meets the Blues (and Blood)
Series composer Daniel Hart is the mastermind behind the music, with Sam Reid providing the vocals that prove Lestat has more than just a biting wit.
According to Hart, “All Fall Down” captures a raw, early era for the band—heavily inspired by 70s icons like Bowie and T. Rex. It’s a snapshot of a younger, wilder Lestat before he started hopping through musical personas like they were silk shirts. It’s raw, self-deprecating, and undeniably catchy.”
The Season: A Tour to End All Tours
This season, Lestat is taking his show on the road, embarking on an electric multi-city tour that is sure to ruffle some ancient feathers. But it’s not all groupies and encores. Lestat is being trailed by “muses” from his rebellious history. As Lestat’s star power grows, so does his influence, leading to an unnatural surge in the vampire population.
Joining Sam Reid in this rock-and-roll odyssey are Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles, Eric Bogosian, and Jennifer Ehle.
The Creative Bloodline
The series continues to be guided by showrunner Rolin Jones and executive produced by Mark Johnson, along with Christopher Rice and the legendary late Anne Rice. If you loved the melancholic “Long Face,” consider “All Fall Down” the high-energy adrenaline shot (or blood bag) the series needs.
