Jon Abrahams is about to have a very bad time in Ohio, and for once, it’s not because a guy in a Ghostface mask is chasing him. The Scary Movie veteran is set to lead Fractured, a psychological thriller from Sage O’Bryant.
The “Arthur Thorne” Problem
Abrahams stars as Arthur Thorne, a guy who is—to put it lightly—tightly wound. Between crippling anxiety and a “traumatic past” (the cinematic starter pack for trouble), Arthur is already on the edge. Arthur’s doctor, played by Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), knows a little too much about his deepest fears. Then, there’s his domineering supervisor, played by Lew Temple (The Walking Dead), who is applying just enough pressure to make Arthur’s head spin. To top it off, Arthur eventually suspects his mental breakdown isn’t an accident—it’s a calculated experiment.
The Powerhouse Team
The film reunites director Sage O’Bryant with writer Eric Swinderman, the duo behind the award-winning The Enormity of Life. They’re producing under their Anhedonia Pictures banner alongside co-star Emelia Sherin. The film is scheduled to begin filming this spring.
With a cast that has survived everything from slashers to the zombie apocalypse, Fractured is shaping up to be a tense, violent confrontation that asks: Is it paranoia if they really are experimenting on your mind?
