Forget your “Out of Office” reply—you aren’t coming back from this business trip anytime soon. If you missed it during its theatrical run in January, Sam Raimi’s survival-horror-comedy Send Help is officially crashing onto digital platforms this March!
The Corporate Ladder… to Hell
The premise is a nightmare for anyone who has ever survived a toxic performance review. Rachel McAdams stars as Linda, a brilliant but “passed-over” strategist, and Dylan O’Brien plays Bradley, her insufferable, tech-bro CEO. When their private plane goes down in the Gulf of Thailand, they are the only survivors.
In the office, Bradley was king. On the island? He’s a helpless mess with a broken leg, and Linda—a secret Survivor superfan with actual skills—is suddenly the one in control. The movie is an unsettling, darkly humorous battle of wits in which the primal rules of the jungle replace the boardroom hierarchy.
The Raimi Dream Team
It’s been over 20 years since the maestro of mayhem directed an R-rated feature, and let’s say he hasn’t lost his “mean” streak. Sam Raimi didn’t just return to horror; he brought the family back together.
Danny Elfman provides a score that pivots from corporate tension to island dread. The script was written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Freddy vs. Jason), who know how to make survival look like a blood sport. This action-packed film was produced by Zainab Azizi (President of Raimi Productions). Check out our exclusive interview with her about bringing this “gonzo” vision to life. And yes, the legend Bruce Campbell makes an appearance. It wouldn’t be a Raimi film without some chin-time.
Why the R-Rating Matters
Raimi is leaning into the “gross-out” gags that made Evil Dead a cult classic. We’re talking strong/bloody violence involving everything from boat propellers to hunting spears. Critics are calling it a “return to form,” praising McAdams for shedding her “America’s Sweetheart” image to become a mud-drenched, fish-spearing warrior.
The Wait is Over!
Send Help lands on digital (Prime Video, Apple TV) this Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Grab your popcorn, lock your doors, and be glad your boss doesn’t know where you live.
