Back in December we reported that Halloween Returns had been put on hold. Now, the word is Malek Akkad, the producer of the Halloween franchise, may be looking to move in a different direction. Michael Myers may be coming to a TV near you for a “limited series event”, meaning it would be restricted to 3 to 5 seasons. According to Fangoria there are meetings being held with network representatives now.
Halloween might make an interesting series, as long as they deal with the whole Michael only returns on Halloween issue in a good way. Until a studio and network pick up the show we have to take it with grain of salt, a lot of potential series and films never make it to completion. After all, Halloween Returns is in that situation right now.
