Today, the makers of the popular multiplayer horror game, “Friday the 13th: the Game” announced there will no further developments or updates to the game. The game’s developer Gun Media’s founder and President Wes Keltner says all they (the developers) can focus on now with the game is fixing glitches/bugs in the game and maintenance on console servers.
The plans for new Jason characters, locations, and councilors were slashed due to an ongoing lawsuit between the original film writer Victor Miller and its director/producer Sean Cunningham who currently owns the rights to “Friday the 13th”. Miller’s suit claims that he is, in fact, the rightful owner of the rights to the franchise since he was the one who wrote the story and created the famous mask wearing antagonist Jason Voorhees. Miller has hinted at some scorn in a past interview he did with us back in 2015.
