‘Gerald’s Game’ Director Wants To Adapt King’s ‘The Shining’ Sequel ‘Doctor Sleep’

Mike Flanagan, the director behind films such as Oculus, Hush, Ouija: Origin of Evil, and Gerald’s Game, has his eyes on a new project. The talented director told Lilja’s Library that he wants to tackle Stephen King’s ‘Doctor Sleep’ and ‘Lisey’s Story’. There are so many,” Flanagan answered, when the site questioned him about what other Stephen King stories he’d like to adapt. “But the ones I’d want to do the most are DOCTOR SLEEP and LISEY’S STORY. In both cases, it’s because I identify with the protagonists so much. LISEY’S STORY is a stunning piece of work, a beautiful exploration of marriage. And who wouldn’t want to venture back into the world of Danny Torrance?” King himself has expressed recent interest in doing an adaption of Lisey’s Story and Doctor Sleep that picks up years after the events in The Shining. ‘Doctor Sleep’ is set several years after the events in ‘The Shining’ and focuses on the now middle-aged

New Concept Art Revives Interest In Neill Blomkamp’s ‘Alien’ Sequel

Several years ago, we almost got to see an Alien film from Neill Blomkamp, the filmmaker behind films like District 9, Elysium, and Chappie. After releasing concept art fans wanted more and we almost had it when Fox greenlit the project with Blomkamp set to direct. Blomkamp even had Sigourney Weaver on the hook to reprise her role. Unfortunately, Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant moved forward putting Blomkamp’s Alien sequel on the shelf. Alien: Covenant got less than a warm reception, but Scott insists that the story should continue. However, I’m not sure fans would agree who should be in the director’s chair for the next installment. We would love to see Blomkamp’s version of a new sequel. After his series of short films through Oats Studio (one will become a feature), there is no question in my mind that he should have a shot at the iconic franchise. During our interview with Blomkamp addressed his sequel and his short film
