Our story
Horror Fuel began life as ZADF, a zombie and survival news site, before being reborn as the daily horror destination it is today. The site is owned and run by a small team of lifelong genre fans — and they are exactly who writes what you read.
Every day we publish horror news, reviews, interviews, trailers, gaming coverage and more — from major studio releases to the indie gems nobody has heard of yet. If it is worth a scream, we cover it.
Meet the crew
Our staff works so very hard to make sure we supply horror news, reviews, interviews, and more every single day. We would be lost without them!
The Team Behind Horror Fuel
The people behind the bylines — the writers and editors who keep the crypt running, night after night.
Kelli Marchman McNeelyOwner & Editor-in-Chief
Co-owner of Horror Fuel, Kelli is an entertainment journalist and executive producer who runs the site’s day-to-day operations. She fell for horror at nine, watching Friday the 13th at a sleepover, and counts The Exorcist, The Exorcist III and Jaws among her favorites. She rebranded the original ZADF zombie-and-survival site into Horror Fuel and has been writing about horror for more than a decade.
Joseph PerryFilm Festival Editor
Joseph joined Horror Fuel in 2019 and covers film festivals, news and reviews. A lifelong fan since The Creature from the Black Lagoon and Mothra first crossed his TV screen, he also contributes to VideoScope, Drive-In Asylum, Gruesome Magazine and Diabolique Magazine, and co-hosts the Decades of Horror: The Classic Era and Uphill Both Ways podcasts. He has been teaching and writing in South Korea since 2008.
Daniel hails from Western New York — “the land of chicken wings, wine and snow” — and handles Horror Fuel’s gaming coverage. A lifelong fan of folklore, cryptids, ghost stories and classical horror, his first horror movie was Nosferatu (1922), while Alien (1979) pulled him to the dark side at eight or nine. The 7th Guest and Resident Evil 2 got him into survival horror, and Fatal Frame remains his favorite series.
Reviewer, writer, director and actor Dan Wilder was heading for a career in comic book illustration before the “putrid path” of horror writing found him. He has reviewed for Famous Monsters of Filmland, The Retroist and That’s Not Current, written Ouija Room for ITN Releasing and episodes of Boggy Creek: The Bigfoot Series, voiced characters for Necrostorm films, and hosts the Weekly Spooky podcast.
Fox Emm is one of Horror Fuel’s many occasional contributors — a byline that shows up across the site whenever the screams call.
