Starring Luke Cook, Dani Barker, Eliana Jones, and Mark Moses, the film was written by Dani Barker. Robert Eggers’ ‘Nosferatu,’ Starring Bill Skarsgård, Wraps Filming

After several delays, according to a report from The Prague Reporter, one of the year’s most highly-anticipated films, Nosferatu, has finally wrapped filming in Prague. From writer-director Robert Eggers, the brilliant mind behind films such as The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman, comes the reimagination of the 1922 black-and-white film by F.W. Murnau, which, like many of his other films, will be elevated horror. “Nosferatu is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman in 19th-century Germany and the ancient Transylvanian vampire who stalks her, bringing untold horror with him.” The cast of Nosferatu will see the director reunite with some of his regular actors, Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), Bill Skarsgard (The Norseman), Anya Taylor-Johnson (The Witch), and Ralph Ineson (The Witch), with Skarsgard playing the crucial role of Count Orlock (Nosferatu). Nicholas Hoult (Renfield), Emma Corrin (Deadpool 3), Lily-Rose Depp (The King), and Simon McBurney (The Conjuring 2) will also star. This is not the first

Thriller ‘The Hole In The Fence’ Exposes The Horrors Of The Élite

The award-winning dark Spanish thriller The Hole in the Fence (aka El hoyo en la cerca), based on a true story, is out now in select US theaters from director Joaquín del Paso. In the film, set at a secluded, exclusive summer camp in the Mexican countryside, under the watchful eyes of their adult guardians, boys from a prestigious private school receive physical, moral, and religious training to turn them into tomorrow’s elite. The discovery of a hole in the fence sets in motion a chain of disturbing events as the boys devolve into a Lord of the Flies-like mob mentality that creates and spreads hysteria in this profoundly disturbing coming-of-age film that unravels like a horror movie while drawing on actual events. The mostly young cast includes Valeria Lamm, Lucciano Kurti, Yubah Ortega, Eric David Walker, and Santiago Barajas Hamue. Adaptation Of Stephen King’s ‘The Boogeyman’ Stalks Theaters This June

As the temperature begins to rise, there’s no better place to escape the heat than a movie theater, and there is definitely one movie you need to check out The Boogeyman. In the film, Lester Billings talks to his psychiatrist about the “murders” of his three young children, describing the events of the past several years. His first two children died mysteriously of apparently unrelated causes (diagnosed as crib death and convulsions, respectively) when left alone in their bedrooms. The only commonalities were that the children cried, “Boogeyman!” the closet door was found ajar after discovering their corpses, even though Billings is certain the door was shut. Host and “Bite Size Horror” director Rob Savage is at the helm of the film that stars David Dastmalchian, Chris Messian, Sophie Thatcher, Marin Ireland, and Vivian Lyre Blair. Scott Beck and Mark Heyman penned the script. Based on Stephen King’s 1973 short story of the same name, The Boogeyman will open in

Movie Review: The Pope's Exorcist (2023)

Movie Review: The Pope’s Exorcist (2023)

Russell Crowe, best known for his role in Ridley Scott’s brilliant 2000 film Gladiator, stars as Father Gabriele Amorth in 2023’s possession horror, The Pope’s Exorcist, currently available on Digital and VOD. Directed by Julius Avery, the film sees Father Amorth, the Vatican’s leading exorcist, as he investigates the possession of a child, leading to him uncovering a conspiracy the Vatican has tried to keep secret for centuries. Crowe and all the cast did well in their roles, making the characters feel believable and making it easy to connect with them. I was very impressed with the young actor Peter DeSouza-Feighoney who played the part of the possessed boy, Henry, a role that was both dark and very physical. At just 12, he nailed it. Crowe’s character’s witty banter adds a bit of comic relief to the intense scenes, which I can’t decide is a good thing or if it is a distraction. The cast also includes Franco Nero, Ralph

Bad News Comes For Fans Of HBO's "Last Of Us" Series

Bad News Comes For Fans Of HBO’s “Last Of Us” Series

Earlier this year, HBO’s “The Last of Us,” the popular video game series adaptation, was a massive hit, with over 8.2 million people tuning in for the finale. The series, which stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, is set twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.” You may be wondering when the second season will premiere. Here’s the bad news, it likely won’t return until 2025. The reason for the delay? The series’ writers, like many others, are still on strike in a bid to get fair wages. And who could blame them? HBO’s head of drama series, Francesca Orsi, recently spoke with Deadline. And she had this to say. “We were looking at The

Amazing Horror Series You Might Have Missed (Part II)

Penny Dreadful (2014-2016) I can’t express how disappointed I was when the series that explores classic monsters came to an end. Incredibly well-written with outstanding performances. In fact, I’d be willing to say that “Penny Dreadful” is one of the best horror series ever to be released. If you watch one series from the list, make it this one. Where To Watch: Showtime, Apple TV, FUBO Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020) The spin-off series has a completely different tone and follows a cop as he investigates horrific murders and the corruption of the police force in Los Angeles in the 1930s. Where To Watch: Prime Video, FUBO iZombie (2015-2019) The award-winning series, part zombie show, part comedy, and part police drama, follows a medical resident who finds that being a zombie has its perks as she helps a cop solve crimes. Where To Watch: Netflix Z Nation (2014-2018) Are you a fan of series like “The Walking Dead” but

The film follows Maxine, the only survivor of the bloody incidents of X, as she continues her journey toward fame to be an actress in the 1980s Los Angeles.
