Get ready for a terrifying trip back to the 1980s. Director Dillon Brown‘s latest indie horror film, The Summer We Died, is set to make its world premiere at the Skate or Die Film Fest this October. But when the group arrive at the desolate club, their night quickly takes a dark turn when they find themselves tangled up in a plot to raise a murderous 16th century witch from the dead. Paramount+ released the official trailer today for the all-new psychological horror thriller Apartment 7A. Set in 1965 New York City, the film tells the story that came before the legendary horror classic Rosemary’s Baby. Apartment 7A will debut at this year’s Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas. This fright-filled film will then be featured in Paramount+ Peak Screaming, a collection of fan-favorite horror movies and Halloween episodes. Directed by the filmmaker behind Relic, Natalie Erika James, the film centers on young dancer Terry Gionoffrio, played by Golden Globe winner Julia Garner (Ozark). AN TAIBHSE (THE GHOST) Writer/director John Farrelly’s excellent Irish chiller An Taibhse (The Ghost; 2024) — the first horror film in the Irish language — has echoes of The Shining and classic haunted house stories in its tale of Éamon Finegan (Tom Kerrisk) and his daughter Máire (Livvy Hill), who have been hired on as maintenance workers for a large mansion in need of repair. The proceedings take place during a great famine in the winter of 1852, and the pair will be the only people there for most of the winter. Máire believes that a ghost haunted her at their previous home, and it seems that it has either followed her or that she has new specters with which to deal. Éamon injures himself and turns to the bottle, becoming increasingly unhinged.
