A Romantic Getaway Turns To Terror In ‘Living Space’

Monster Pictures have acquired Australian/New Zealand distribution rights to Tru Dot Films’ supernatural feature film Living Space. Written and directed by Steven Spiel, Living Space will play a series of Monster Fest Presents screenings across Australia this March. ‘Don’t Leave Home’ Unless It’s To Catch This Film At SXSW

Writer-director Michael Tully’s Don’t Leave Home is set to make its world premiere at this year’s SXSW. Starring Anna Margaret Hollyman, Lalor Roddy, Helena Bereen, David McSavage, and Karrie Cox, the film centers on Melanie Thomas, “an American artist whose latest show recounts the infamous Irish urban legend of Father Alistair Burke, who painted a portrait of 8-year-old Siobhan Callahan in 1986. Days later, Siobhan went missing on the very morning that her figure miraculously vanished from the painting as well. Though absolved of any wrongdoing, Burke abandoned the priesthood and went into self-exile. After receiving a bad review before her opening, Melanie is contacted by the reclusive Burke, who offers to fly her to Ireland to create a new sculpture that he will help her to sell while she’s there. Spooky Empire Announces First Round Of Guests And Events

Spooky Empire is gearing up for its annual spooktacular convention in Orlando, Florida. From April 6th through the 8th Spooky Empire will be taking over The Wyndham Orlando Resort. The three-day convention includes an array of activities, including celebrity autographs and meet and greets, photo ops, panels, live performances and the annual tattoo festival featuring more than twenty-five artists. This year, celebrity guests include: • The return of The Chiodo Brothers, the group of sibling creative forces known for movies such as Killer Klowns from Outer Space. What Keeps You Alive Set To Premiere At SXSW

It has now been announced that writer-director Colin Minihan’s What Keeps You Alive will be making its world premiere at this year’s SXSW Film Festival as part of their Midnighter’s line up. The thriller stars Hannah Emily Anderson hot off the heels of her role in Jigsaw, along with Brittany Allen (It Stains the Sands Red), Martha MacIsaac (Superbad), and Joey Klein who starred in the “12 Monkeys'” series. In the film, a female couple is pit against one another during their one-year anniversary. Austin, Texas’ SXSW will run from March 9th through March 18. You can find out more about the festival here. February rings in a very important month for horror fans, it’s Women in Horror month! It’s a time when we celebrate all of the wonderful, brilliant, and badass women that make horror what it is. It’s also the month when the Soska sisters, Jen and Sylvia, roll out their ninth annual Massive Blood Drive. The lovely ladies gather together a fantastic group of filmmakers, actress, and actors to draw attention to the dire need for blood donations. Supernatural Crime Thriller ‘Residue’ To Screen At Crypticon

IndustryWorks Studios, XLrator Media, and Motorcycle Boy Productions have announced a special screening of Residue at Crypticon on May 5, 2018, following its Blu-ray and DVD release last week in the US and Canada. ‘Rock Paper Dead’ – A New Horror Icon Is Born (Review)

We here at Horror Fuel have been tracking Rock Paper Dead since back in 2015. The film was written by Kerry Fleming and Victor Miller (Friday the 13th), directed by Tom Holland (Child’s Play), and produced by Fleming and Amy Williams. After interviewing both Fleming and Miller, we could not wait to see the final film. That day has finally come. Earlier today, I sat back and pushed play with my fingers crossed that the film would be everything I had hoped for. Luckily, it was. In the beginning of the film, we witness Peter Harris (Luke Macfarlane) execute a woman he has kidnapped just as the police bust down his door. The girl’s identity will play a major part in the film later on. After serving time at a psychiatric hospital he is deemed cured by Dr. Evelyn Bauer (Tatum O’Neal) and released.
