Movie Review: 3rd Night (2018)

Meagan (Jesse McGinn) and Jonathan (Robert Hartburn) escape the rat race and move on to greener pastures…literally, as they move into a house situated next to an orchard in the middle of East Ass-Hair. Nowheresville (it’s a real place, believe me…I’m a movie critic, and I know things). Anyway, things go smoothly enough on their first night in the new pad…minus a missing house cat, but you can bet demons to doughnuts that shit heads south with the major quickness…and it does as later that night someone watches their sex sesh from the wooded area surrounding the home. The next day strange notes appear, the disembodied laughter of a child and the squealing of pigs is heard, and a gloved hand touches Meagan as she sleeps…you know, typical new homeowner shit. Now on the third night, things go completely off-the-rails…so much so that the future of our heroes is seriously in doubt! 3rd Night is a slow burn thriller with

Human Hibachi: Mario Cerrito III Talks About His New Film In An Interview

Writer-director Mario Cerrito III has a new upcoming horror film, Human Hibachi, and he sat down to talk with us, giving our readers a little taste of what they can expect. Horror Fuel: “We shared the first batch of images from Human Hibachi when they were released. They seem to be teasing cannibalistic aspect of the film.” Mario Cerrito III: “There is. The film is made in a found footage style. I’m a fan of found footage. It’s a hybrid. I made the film part found footage and part storyline. It’s not your common found footage. It’s got a good storyline which I feel will be holding people’s attention. I wanted to do something different on this one, my first two were shot in a regular cinematic style. So much has been done, but I haven’t seen anything like this. I wanted to do something original.” Horror Fuel: “How did the story come to be?” Mario Cerrito III: “I was

Peter Sullivan Talks ‘Cucuy: The Boogeyman’ Ahead Of SyFy Premiere

Writer-director-producer Peter Sullivan sat down with us to talk about some of his past projects and his upcoming film Cucuy: The Boogeyman ahead of its October 13th premiere on SyFy. Starring “Riverdale’s” Marisol Nichols, Brian Krause (Charmed), Jearnest Corchado (Blacklist), Bella Stine (“Peanuts”), Pedro Correa (“Turnt”), and Mick Ignis (Stan Against Evil) as the Cucuy, the film centers on a town whose children have begun disappearing. A rebellious teen under house arrest starts to suspect that a legendary evil, a boogeyman, known as the Cucuy, might be responsible. Horror Fuel: “You’ve been a busy guy having produced 99, writing 81 films, directing 27. How do you manage?” Peter Sullivan: “One of the things I do like to do is to bounce between genres. I think that keeps things fresh. I try not to do two movies in a row of the same genre. I try to balance out with a holiday movie, a horror movie, and a thriller.” Horror Fuel:

DVD Review: Sleep No More (2018)

In the mid ’80’s a gaggle o’ graduate students are conducting sleep deprivation experiments (involving an untested drug), which of course go completely sideways resulting in their control subject going berserk and dying. Besides most likely getting a big, fat “F” for the semester (bummer), our heroes’ experiment is completely shut down by the powers that be. This doesn’t set well with our plucky protagonists, and they decide to continue the experiments…on themselves (I mean what could go wrong…only one person went apeshit and clawed their own eyes out…probably a fluke)! Naturally it doesn’t take long for the gang to start seeing spectral visions and monsters, and to begin turning against one another. Will they be able to keep it together and survive the horrors in the darkness for the 200 hours the experiment runs? I’ll tell you creeps right off the beastly bat; Sleep No More is one fun time in the ol’ horror biz! Featuring a unique premise

Sophie Okonedo, Brian Gleeson, and Alistar Petrie co-star. This time around, Hellboy (Harbour) squares off against a medieval sorceress (Jovovich) who seeks to destroy humankind. Aron Coleite wrote the latest version of the script penned by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden, and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman, and Carl Hampe executive produced the film. Hellboy will open in theaters nationwide on April 12, 2019.
