Netflix and Ryan Murphy continue to turn out hit series. The latest installment of the “Monster” series found massive success with “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” as did “The Watcher.” We’ve got great news, we haven’t seen the end of either series. “The Watcher” season 2 has been ordered and “Monster” will be returning as well, with two more seasons ordered, Deadline reports. The new seasons of “Monster” will not feature Dahmer, by the way. Two new killers will be covered, one each season. But who they are has not been announced at this point. Bela Bajaria, Head of Global TV, Netflix, told Deadline, “Audiences can’t take their eyes off Monster and The Watcher. The creative team of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan on Monster along with Eric Newman on The Watcher are masterful storytellers who captivated audiences all over the world. Focus Entertainment and THE PARASITE released the new gamplay trailer for the upcoming first-person dark fairy tale Blacktail as the game’s release will be next month. Blacktail is the retelling of the Slavic myth of Baba Yaga where players take on the role of Yaga, a girl accused of witchcraft and forced to fend for herself but then memories of her past returned in the form of walking spirits, Yaga is then forced to hunt them down with the hopes by doing so she’ll be uncovering her own mystery. Players will be armed with a bow and be able to use magical powers to fight enemies, and gather resources to craft potions and arrows. Players will determine the fate of the land by making moral choices along the way that will determine if Yaga will become a good, or evil witch. Blacktail will be coming out on December 15th for PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X/S

Writer-director Gary Dauberman‘s new adaptation of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot is currently in production. Star Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick, Strangers: Prey At Night) has now said that this adaptation is much closer to the book than the mini-series that debuted back in 1979. “Gary Dauberman, the director, is really keen on doing justice to the book. But also, the previous adaptation was a two-parter, because it’s such a hefty book and there are so many different moving parts and so many characters.” Pullman told ComicBook.com. “So there are some parts where Gary had to press and find what was really at the heart of the movie to keep in, but for the most part, he’s really true to the book and keeping a lot of the original dialogue in there. He’s a Stephen King hound dog so he doesn’t wanna do Stephen dirty. So I think it’s in good hands, Gary’s a really smart guy who has a keen

The U.K.’s Horror-on-Sea Film Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary in January 2023 with a mind-shattering, blood-spattering array of independent scare-fare cinema. From monsters to murderers to other assorted mayhem, the fest features something for sppoky-cinema lovers of all stripes. Following is the official press announcement. Halloween may be over, but the horror will continue as the website for Horror-on-Sea 2023 is now live and the terrifying full line up has now been revealed. Horror-on-Sea is recognised by many as the true home of independent horror and remains one of the UK’s biggest independent film festivals. Originally formed to promote independent horror films and will continue to uphold that tradition, giving the horror fans an opportunity to see independent titles which would not normally be played on the big screen. Hosted once again at The Park Inn Palace Hotel (Southend-on-Sea) the festival will be running over two weekends from Friday 14th January to Sunday 16th January and Friday 21st January to

Hot off the heels of her return in Orphan: First Kill, Isabelle Fuhrman is heading to a storage facility in the upcoming thriller Unit 234, from Andy Tennant, the same director who brought you Sweet Home Alabama and Hitch. Today the image has surfaced, via Variety. In the thriller, “Laurie Saltair (Fuhrman) discovers the comatose man, Clayton, in Unit 234 of her family’s storage facility, while working the night shift alone. What transpires is a thrill ride of a cat-and-mouse game for Laurie and Clayton to survive the night.” Jack Huston (“House of Gucci”) and Don Johnson (Knives Out) also star in Unit 234, written by Derek Steiner (Insurgent, Warm Bodies). Blythe Frank, Hadeel Reda, and Lee Dreyfus are producing alongside Productivity Media’s William G. Santor and Doug Murray. Colleen Camp is serving as executive producer.
