This September, director Bishal Dutta’s unnerving, fright-filled horror film It Lives Inside is set to open in theaters. After watching it and being extremely impressed, I spoke with actress Betty Gabriel, who plays the role of Joyce. It Lives Inside, which will leave you wanting to sleep with the lights on, arrives in theaters on September 22, 2023. With the premiere of The Last Voyage of the Demeter on the horizon this August, I sat down with makeup artist Göran Lundström to discuss the incredible transformation of Javier Botet into Dracula. Directed by André Øvredal, the movie is based on a single chilling chapter, “The Captain’s Log,” from Bram Stoker’s classic novel Dracula, and tells the terrifying story of the merchant ship Demeter, which was chartered to carry private cargo—fifty unmarked wooden crates—from Carpathia to London.
