Too often, the shark movies we get are campy and shallow with no real message or facts. That’s where Deep Blue Sea 3 is different. With a more serious tone, the movie is filled with real facts and the message that we need to protect these amazing creatures. I truly appreciate that director John Pogue and writer Dirk Blackman took this approach. Don’t get me wrong, there are brief moments of cheesiness, but for the most part, this is a story about determination and survival. So if you’re looking for something like Sharknado, just keep swimming. In the film, a team of researches, led by the headstrong, passionate Dr. Emma Collins, are based on an artificial island. As they study the reef and shark nursery, a past lover of Dr. Collins arrives on a ship in hopes that she will help him find three sharks that have escaped a secret lab. Not knowing the entire story, the team joins the

Every once in a while, I come across a movie the leaves me speechless. As I sat down today to watch Amulet I thought I had some idea of what to expect. I was wrong. Where to start? He meets a nun who arranges a place for him to stay, with a young woman (Carla Juri) whose mother is sick and living in the attic. But not everything is what as it seems to be. Normally, I do my best to avoid giving out spoilers, but to work through this film, I need to reveal a few things. To avoid spoilers stop reading this review now. The first half of the movie is a SLOW burn. But at the halfway mark things go off the rails and morphs into
