Prime Video Conjures Season Three Of “The Wheel Of Time” (NYCC)

The Prime Video hit fantasy series “The Wheel of Time,” which recently completed its critically acclaimed second season, was the topic among fans this weekend thanks to two special events that revealed both insights into season two and the highly anticipated third season! Movie Review: ‘Totally Killer’ Is A Fun-Filled Horror Flick

Prime Video has now released the time-traveling slasher Totally Killer. I watched it, and I have some thoughts about the movie, directed by Nahnatchka Khan (Always Be My Maybe, “Young Rock”) and starring Kiernan Shipka (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” ). Totally Killer follows Jamie (Shipka), whose mom, Pam (Bowen), is terrorized by the resurgence of the Sweet Sixteen Killer—a masked maniac who slaughtered a group of teenage girls in the ‘80s. With the help of her friend Amelia (Kelcey Mawema), she travels back in time to 1987 and teams up with the teen version of her mom (Holt) to try and stop the killer. Equal parts horror and comedy, the movie sets out to capture the unique charm of the 1980s. And as someone who was there, I can definitely say they nailed it. It was a time when social sensitivity was lacking; there was no such thing as getting “triggered,” and nobody cared if you chained-smoked in the car

Buffalo8 has just announced the North American VOD release of the home invasion horror-thriller The Hive, which marks the feature debut of writer-director Jared Allmond. Timothy Haug and Christie Griffin star as Albie and Penny, a young couple with a failing marriage, who try to rekindle the fire in their relationship by having a night out by themselves. To make matters worse, the couple returns home to armed strangers. With no help from their neighbors or law enforcement, they attempt to survive a night from hell. Director Teases There Is Still A Future For The ‘Underworld’ Series

As the 20th anniversary of the Underworld franchise approaches, the original director and franchise co-creator Len Wiseman recently dropped some hints that there is still life in the vampire/werewolf franchise yet, possibly on the small screen. During a recent talk with Entertainment Weekly Wiseman said, “there’s a fashion that is in the works, but I can’t talk about it. But there is a future to Underworld for sure.” When asked if he was talking about a TV series, he did confirm “That’s the one I’m referring to.” The first mention of an Underworld series came back in 2016, just ahead of the premiere of Underworld: Blood Wars. And honestly, it has the potential of being a great series, as long as Beckinsale returns as Selene.
