‘Castle Rock’ To Tell A New “Unwritten King Story” Each Season

Just when we thought that Hulu’s anthology series “Castle Rock” couldn’t get any better we learn that the J.J. Abrams’ Stephen King universe-set show will “approach each season as an unwritten Stephen King novel”, according to co-creator Sam Shaw. Bloody Disgusting quoted Shaw as saying: “He’s a genre unto himself and there are seven or eight well-defined sub-genres. We’ve always loved the stories dealing with crime and punishment, and prisons, and Stephen King sort of grappling with real-world monsters – and what we do with them, and where we put them, how we treat them, and whether that makes us monsters. This season is written very much in the shadow of Shawshank and The Green Mile, and stories dealing with incarceration. Watch The 23 Minute “Castle Rock” Documentary

Later this month take a trip to Stephen King’s “Castle Rock” with Hulu’s new series from J.J. Abrams and King. Today, we have a 23-minute documentary to share with you about the series starring André Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek, Bill Skarsgård, Jane Levy, and Scott Glenn. The 10-episode “psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock is an original story that combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.” Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason developed the series for television and serve as executive producers along with J.J. Abrams, Ben Stephenson, and Liz Glotzer. The series is from Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The first three episodes of “Castle Rock” will premiere on Hulu on Wednesday, July 25th.

Bill Skarsgard Is Creepy As Hell In The New “Castle Rock” Trailer

The first trailer for Hulu’s new series “Castle Rock” is here and it’s creepy as hell, but that’s only fitting seeing it’s from Master of Horror Stephen King and J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens). New Disturbing Teaser For “Castle Rock” Reveals Blood In Every Home

Hulu has unveiled a disturbing new teaser for “Castle Rock”, along with the premiere date for the series based on Stephen King’s literary universe. The new teaser reveals a series of disturbing images, including a suicidal mascot, and tells of a secret that has the town’s residents, “trapped in a cycle that stretches back centuries”. “There’s blood in every backyard, inside every house.” Andre Holland (Moonlight), Bill Skarsgard, Sissy Spacek, Melanie Lynskey, and Jane Levy star in the 10-episode first season. Hulu Releases Premiere Date And Plot For Year-Round Series “Into The Dark”

Hulu has unveiled new details about their genre series “Into the Dark” from Blumhouse Television, including the premiere date, the cast, and plot. Starring Dermot Mulroney (Insidious 3), the series, which will run year-round, will release a new feature-length episode on the first Friday of every month. Every episode is inspired by a holiday from that month. For example, the October episode will be Halloween themed. Hulu And Blumhouse Teaming Up For New Original Series

Hulu and horror powerhouse Blumhouse are teaming up for a new original anthology series. It has not been revealed who will be directing or writing the series, but we do know that the once monthly show will feature 12 self-contained episodes for a year. Each episode will feature a new tale with a narrative that will connect each of them, Variety reports. At the heart of the deal is an extremely passionate audience and an extremely activateable audience in terms of horror,” Joel Stillerman, Hulu chief content officer, stated. “It’s not even the larger bucket of ‘genre.’ I would say this falls squarely into the horror bucket.
