Like many films these days, it looks like Godzilla vs. King Kong will reportedly be bypassing theaters and heading straight to streaming platforms. THR is reporting that Netflix is aiming to acquire the film, offering a staggering $200 million for the upcoming movie from Legendary Pictures. However, they aren’t the only ones after the property. But word is, Warner Bros. Media wants it to premiere exclusively on their HBO Max service. The epic next chapter in the cinematic Monsterverse pits two of the greatest icons in motion picture history against one another – the fearsome Godzilla and the mighty Kong with humanity caught in the balance. Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Rebecca Hall, Lance Reddick, Kyle Chandler, Danai Gurira, Ziyi Zhang, and Julian Dennison star in Godzilla vs. Kong, directed by Adam Wingard, which is currently in post-production. One of our favorite films of the year, the haunting World War II set horror Ghosts of War, is now streaming on Netflix! Written and directed by Final Destination‘s Eric Bress, the film follows five battle-hardened American soldiers are assigned to hold a French Chateau near the end of World War II. Formerly occupied by the Nazi high command, this unexpected respite quickly descends into madness when they encounter a supernatural enemy far more terrifying than anything seen on the battlefield. Brenton Thwaites, Alan Ritchson, Skylar Astin, Theo Rossi, Kyle Gallner, Billy Zane, and Shaun Toub star in Ghosts of War which we gave a 5 out of 5 score in our review. I had heard good things about writer-director Bartosz M. Kowalski’s new horror film Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight so I decided to give it a try. The movie centers on a group of teens who have been sent to a remote camp in the woods because of their addiction to technology, phones, computers, gaming, YouTube, etc… Of course, when you take a bunch of teens into the woods on a camping trip things are bound to go wrong. When a cannibal killer discovers the group he begins picking them off one by one. If imitation is the biggest form of flattery, then this movie is a love letter to slashers. What I saw was a mishmash of bits of and ideas from horror classics, including Friday the 13th, Wrong Turn, Scream, Hatchet, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, and more. After years of rumors, we may be actually getting a sequel to the 1988 horror comedy Killer Klowns From Outer Space! During a discussion with ComicBook.com about his Netflix film Alien Xmas, Stephen Chiodo talked about his and his brother’s (Charles Chiodo) classic, saying that the brother duo is currently in talks with Netflix about making a Kill Klowns sequel. We are talking to them. We’re talking all the time. Get this: we’ve been trying to do a sequel (Killer Klowns From Outer Space) since we made the film and fans get angry with us. Eight new actors have joined the season four cast of one of Netflix’s biggest series, “Stranger Things” including horror icon and star of the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, Robert Englund! Variety is reporting that Englund has joined along with Jamie Campbell (Sweeny Todd), Eduardo Franco (Booksmart), Joseph Quinn (Catherine the Great), Tom Wlaschiha (“Game of Thrones”), Sherman Augustus (“Into the Badlands”), Nikola Djuricko (Genius), and Mason Dye (“Bosch”). Englund is set to play Victor Creel, a “disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s. Quinn will play Eddie Munson, an 80’s metalhead who runs Hawkins High’s D&D club. And Franco joins as Argyle, Jonathan’s new best friend. Production on the fourth season has been delayed thanks to the pandemic, but resumed filming last month. After just two seasons Netflix has decided not to renew their original college werewolves vs. magic series “The Order.” Creator, writer, and executive producer Dennis Heaton made the announcement today via Twitter to disappointed fans. For two seasons I was honored to work with an incredible cast and crew on The Order for @netflix It is one of the best experiences of my career. Ryan Murphy, creator of “American Horror Story” has revealed a few more tidbits about his upcoming “AHS” spinoff anthology series, “American Horror Stories.” Murphy took to Instagram today saying, “We are doing 16 one-hour stand-alone episodes delving into horror myths, legends, and lore…many of these episodes will feature AHS stars you know and love. More to follow…” Back in May, the spinoff was announced as the 10th season of “AHS” was delayed due to the pandemic. But don’t panic, “AHS” will be back in 2021 on both FX and Hulu. It’s really no surprise that long time series regular Sarah Paulson will be involved in the spinoff, however, it may not be on screen. Tuesday Paulson stated during a Netflix panel for Murphy’s other series “Ratched” in which she also stars, that, “I’ll be directing something.” Deadline reports that their sources have described the new project as a companion anthology series to “AHS” with each episode being a stand-alone ghost

Prometheus actress Noomi Repace is set to star in the lead role for the film adaptation of Jerker Virdborg‘s thriller Black Crab from Netflix. Adam Berg (In) is making his feature debut after a long career in the music video and commercial industries. Malin Idevall and Mattias Montero are producing the movie that will be filmed in 2021 in Sweden, Deadline reports. “Set in a post-apocalyptic world during an endless winter, the film follows six soldiers who are sent on a dangerous mission across the frozen sea to transport a package that could finally end the war.” Deadline quotes Rapace as saying, “I’m very excited to come back to Sweden and do Black Crab. My first Swedish film in years. Can’t wait to get suited up and go on this journey – explore human shadows and slide through broken dreams and a world on edge. Survival to what price?”

Before the premiere, we had a chance to ask him a few questions about the film that stars Sopẹ́ Dìrísù, Wunmi Mosaku, and “Dr. Who’s” Matt Smith. His House follows a refugee couple who flee war-torn South Sudan and face an arduous journey. Once arriving in an English town they are assigned a home, but something dark lurks within.
