News has come via Deadline that Johnny Depp has officially signed on to star in Universal’s upcoming revival of 1933’s The Invisible Man.
The original film was an adaption of the novel by the same name, penned by H.G. Wells. The film follows a mysterious man named Griffin. Griffin had great success in turning himself invisible, but not in turning himself back.
Universal is building a world where all their classic monsters share universe. Depp is not the only A-lister to recently join Universal’s monster project, Tom Cruise has been cast for the reboot of The Mummy, which is set to arrive in theaters on June 9th, 2017.
