1…2…Freddy’s coming for you – in a brand new remake. That’s right, the man of our dreams is coming back in a new version of Nightmare on Elm Street from New Line Cinema.
David Leslie Jones, the man behind Orphan and Wrath of the Titans, will be writing the script for New Line. Jones has also signed on to pen the next film in The Conjuring franchise.
So far, Jones is the only person attached to the project. According to Bloody Disgusting, odds are we won’t see Robert Englund in the role. Even though the film already has a lot of potential with Jones on board, it just won’t feel right without Englund as Freddy. Let’s hope New Line decides to offer him the role. We all remember the last remake being a fiasco. Let’s hope that they don’t make the same mistakes with this one. We will keep you posted.
