The latest installment of the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, is one step closer to its 2018 release, the film has officially entered post-production.
J.A. Bayona is in the director’s chair for the film which is mostly practical effects, unlike its predecessor, directed by Colin Trevorrow who co-wrote Fallen Kindom with Derek Connolly, Amanda Silver, and Rick Jaffa.
Not only does Fallen Kingdom have an impressive cast that includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldbum, Toby Jones, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, B.D. Wong, Rafe Spall, Daniella Pineda, and James Cromwel, the original T-Rex, nicknamed Rexy, will be back.
While the exact plot is being kept quiet, we have heard that the film will involve Dr. Henry Wu (BD Wong) who has used the stole DNA from Jurassic World to create dinosaurs for a military company who plans to use them in battle. At least one new dinosaur will be introduced.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, described as a direct sequel to both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, will open in theaters nationwide on June 22, 2018, from Universal Pictures.
