Game Review: ‘Slender: The Arrival’

Ten years ago, the first official game based on the internet sensation Slender Man, Slender: The Arrival, was released, and YouTube was never the same again. Now, new and old players of the game can enjoy it with updated graphics and extra content with the new 10th-anniversary version of Slender: The Arrival. Slender: The Arrival takes players to a mysterious forested area full of abandoned sites as Laura, a young woman searching for her friend Kate who has suddenly gone missing from her family home after her encounter with a mysterious Slender Man. Slender: The Arrival‘s controls are simple and more likely the same as they were back when the game first came out, I’ll admit I’ve never played it before. I will say, that I have seen clips and pictures of the original, and the graphics in this version are way better, but the lighting needs work; no matter what I adjust my gamma and flashlight strength to, it’s

Game Review: 'No Son Of Mine'

Game Review: ‘No Son Of Mine’

At Fear Fest 2023, attendees were given a surprise on the first day of the event, a game launch. That game was Pleasantly Friendly Games and Feardemic’s No Son of Mine. The game was first launched on PS5, Switch, and PC at the time but has recently been released on Xbox, and Feardemic was awesome enough to send over a copy (thanks by the way!). No Son of Mine is a first-person survival horror where you search for clues about your mysterious pursuer, a demonic child. No Son of Mine‘s controls are limited, so they’re simple to remember. The audio is decent and the soundtrack helps set the mood, especially when things get spookier. No Son of Mine‘s gameplay is relatively simple, you explore the map looking for clues as they help you progress, as well as offer you some insight into the story. You acquire a red lens that allows you to see things you can’t see normally as

Trailer Unleashed For '(Pri)sons,' The Most Brutal Film To Ever Come Out Of Finland

Trailer Unleashed For ‘(Pri)sons,’ The Most Brutal Film To Ever Come Out Of Finland

(Pri)sons, reportedly the most brutal and bloody film ever made in Finland, is giving viewers a glimpse at the action with its first teaser. The film centers on a ragtag group of criminals who must band together to fight for survival when an army of bloodthirsty assassins besieges an underground marketplace of illegal activities. (Pri)sons marks the most ambitious film of director-cinematographer Esa Jussila, who has built a long-lasting career in genre and exploitation underground film. The film deals with organized crime, the degeneration of human beings, and the natural urge to survive. The film is unique because of the amount of violence, special effects, and demanding stunts that all the actors had to perform. “To me, this film is an amalgamation of two genres I hold very dear, those being old school action movies and extreme horror. And I think it’s a genre cocktail that will give the audience some unique thrills. I essentially aimed to produce a big

Game Review: ‘Little Goody Two Shoes’

Looking at it at face value, Little Goody Two Shoes looks like weeb fodder that many gamers will steer clear of, but with a darker tone hidden between the bright and colorful anime appearance, it’s quite intriguing. Part fairy tale, part horror narrative, and part dating sim, I want to thank Astral Shift and Square Enix for the reviewing opportunity! Little Goody Two Shoes takes place in a fairy tale world where Elise, a young woman who was mysteriously found in the forest as an infant, yearns for a lavish lifestyle away from the village she now resides in. Lately, local superstition has been taking hold of the villagers, and with the discovery of red shoes on her property, Elise now finds herself torn between the life she knows, and a darker mysterious one awaiting her in the woods. Little Goody Two Shoes‘s controls are simple as most of what you have to do involves moving around and interacting with

Game Review: 'Robocop: Rogue City'

Game Review: ‘Robocop: Rogue City’

Robocop was arguably one of the best films in the 80s, with its kitschy premise (that can only work in 80s films), memorable moments, merch, and memes. Over the years, video games have been made based on the film series, but admittedly, some of them did not catch the true essence of the film. Teyon and NACON teamed up with MGM to make what is possibly the best Robocop game to date, this is Robocop: Rogue City. Robocop: Rogue City takes players back to the mean streets of Detroit where a new mysterious crime lord is setting up shop and all the gangs of the city are auditioning to be part of the new criminal enterprise by ramping up their crime sprees, and only Robocop can help stem the tide of crime. Now, onto the game itself! Robocop: Rogue City‘s controls are your standard FPS kind which makes it easier to learn and remember as you start playing the game.
