In an upcoming episode of season 11 of Supernatural the guys will turn time travelers, returning to a point from back in season 5 with the help of Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver) who passed in season 7, and a friend (Rufus).
According to TVLine, Beaver will reprise his role as Sam and Dean’s father figure. In the episode Sam and Dean will be working on an old case that Bobby and Rufus investigated back in the day.
The last time we saw Bobby was back in episode 16 of season 10 when Bobby and Rufus (Steven Williams) played the Winchester’s “Inside Man” (also the title of the episode) in Heaven.
I know I won’t be the only one glad to see Bobby return. He’s a fantastic character and Jim Beaver always does such an amazing job. I only wish we could see him a little more often (Supernatural are listening?). Season 11 of Supernatural premieres on January 20th at 9/8c. Be sure not to miss it!
