It’s been a couple of years since we’ve seen the Predator in action, but that’s about to change. 20th Century Studios has given the green light for a brand new installment to the Predator franchise! Deadline is reporting that 10 Cloverfield Lane‘s Dan Trachtenberg will be directing the movie that will completely bypass Shane Black’s 2018 movie The Predator. Deadline states, “They are keeping the plotline under wraps for the moment, but I’m told it won’t swing back to the developments in the most recent film.” Patrick Aison (“Kingdom”) is writing the script for the fifth film of the original franchise, not including Alien Vs. Nearly one year ago, we reported that after 20 years Leigh Janiak would be delivering a sequel to the cult favorite, The Craft. Now, we have learned, via Tracking Board, that Sony has brought in Daniel Casey (10 Cloverfield Lane) to re-write Janiak and Phil Graziadei’s script for the film which was going to follow a new group of young witches discovering magic. There is no word yet if the plot will be the same or if Casey’s version will be something all-together different. The 1996 film, directed by Andrew Fleming, follows Sarah (Robin Tunney), a teenage girl new in town. At her new school she finds a new group of friends, a trio of outcast girls, played by Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell and Rachel True, who practice witchcraft. With Sarah’s natural witchy talent, the girls are able to actually cast spells and curses against those who have wronged them.

Earlier this year, J. J. Abrams surprised fans with a sequel to 2008’s found-footage alien film ‘Cloverfield’, titled ’10 Cloverfield Lane’. The film was a huge success, renewing interest in the franchise for fans. We reported in late October that J.J. Abrams’ third ‘Cloverfield’ film, titled ‘God Particle’, had quietly entered production. Recently, The Wrap caught up with actor David Oyelowo in an attempt to lean more about ‘God Particle’. They did not learn much, but he did reveal the following: “Every single day we were on that set, we were agog with the inventiveness and innovation, between the technology, the story, and the audacity of what we were trying to accomplish. It’s an incredibly exciting and innovative process of storytelling. It’s incredibly surprising.” In the ‘God Particle’ a team of astronauts make a shocking discovery and end up fighting for survival in what is being described as an “altered reality”. J.J. Abrams surprised fans earlier this year with a sequel to 2008’s found-footage alien film ‘Cloverfield’, titled ’10 Cloverfield Lane’. The film was huge success, renewing interest in the franchise for fans. It is not surprising that Abrams already has plans for another sequel. What is surprising is that it has already quietly entered production. Abrams revealed to The Wrap that the the new sequel, titled ‘God Particle’, has entered production and has a release date, February 24th, 2017. The site revealed that ‘God Particle’ is “…about a team of astronauts who make a “shocking discovery” and end up fighting for survival in what is described as an altered reality.” ‘God Particle’ will star David Oyelowo, Ziyi Zhang, Gugu Mbtha-Raw, Daniel Brühl, Elizabeth Debicki. J.J. Abrams will produce. Julis Onah will be directing from the script penned by Oren Uziel. ‘God Particle’ will not be the last of the franchise. In fact, other films are already being considered by Paramount

During last night’s badass mid season premiere of The Walking Dead a new spot aired for 10 Cloverfield Lane, the sequel to 2008’s found footage horror film Cloverfield. A young woman, waking up after an accident, finds herself in the basement of a stranger. He says he’s saved her life from a chemical attack that has left the outside world uninhabitable, but the truth is much stranger. 10 Cloverfield Lane, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, stars John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher Jr. Look for it in theaters on March 11th, 2016.

The Super Bowl is good for two things, football and commercials/trailers. Both 10 Cloverfield Lane and Independence Day: Resurgence had great TV spots during this year’s Super Bowl and here they are. Independence Day: Resurgence In the sequel to 1996’s Independence Day the nations of Earth, using the alien’s technology, have built a defense system knowing that one day the aliens would return, but nothing has prepared them for the fight ahead. 10 Cloverfield Lane 10 Cloverfield Lane stars John Goodman, Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher Jr. The film centers on a woman who wakes up to realize she is being held in a cellar by Goodman’s character, who believes there has been a nuclear disaster, but when she escapes she realizes that there is something happening and really was trying to protect her.

News comes this morning that after years of rumors the sequel/spin-off to 2008’s Cloverfield is not only real, it’s wrapped filming and is set to land in theaters on March 11th and there is a trailer! Paramount has confirmed it. The title of the film is 10 Cloverfield Lane. 10 Cloverfield Lane stars John Goodman, Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher Jr. The film centers on a woman who wakes up to realize she is being held in a cellar by Goodman’s character, who believes there has been a nuclear disaster, but when she escapes she realizes that there is something happening and really was trying to protect her. The film is not a true sequel. It is more of a spin-off. It takes place in a different location than the events that took place in Cloverfield.
