A Nun Doll Is Coming This Summer

Porcelain dolls are one of two things, meh, or creepy. The dolls over at Living Dead Dolls are deliberately made to be creepy, especially since their best sellers are based on iconic horror characters. MezcoToyz recently announced that coming this summer there will be a doll of the scary nun from The Conjuring 2, Annabelle Creation, and the upcoming film The Nun. The Nun is the manifestation of the demon Valak. Don’t worry, the doll is not as tall as the 5’8 nun, it’s only 10” (inches) tall and can be kept sealed in its box that doubles as a display case. The doll will be out in stores for you to buy in time for The Nun’s release in theatres this September. ‘The Conjuring’ Franchise Hit With An Almost Billion Dollar Lawsuit

While the new Conjuring universe may be continuing to expand, Warner Bros. may be in hot water. They have been hit with a massive lawsuit. In 1980, Gerald Brittle penned ‘The Demonologist’ for Ed and Lorraine Warren. Part of the deal between Brittle and the Warrens was that any future films that featured the events in the book had to have his approval before being made. In 2013 Warner Bros. and New Line released The Conjuring that went on to be a massive hit. The follow up centered on the Enfield Poltergeist, both stories were part of the book deal. The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 has gone on to spawn 3 spin-offs, Annabelle, The Nun, and The Crookedman, and 2 more sequels, Annabelle: Creation and The Conjuring 3 which is now in the works. Woman Sent To Hospital After Watching ‘Annabelle: Creation’

While a lot of people can handle a good horror film, there are many who should know better than to try. A Brazilian woman found out the hard way that she couldn’t handle Annabelle: Creation the hard way. According to multiple Brazilian news sources, a 20-year-old woman entered her local theaters to watch Annabelle: Creation and it quickly turned into a disturbing situation. It is being reported that after seeing the highly-anticipated film from director David F. Sandberg, she was seen on the floor convulsing, screaming, and coughing uncontrollably. A video has surfaced from a witness showing the troubling event just before she was taken to the hospital. One of her friends said that she began acting odd during the movie the moment that the devil appeared. When the film ended, we went to pay the car park and she started hitting herself with punches to her own head, and threw herself on the floor.” One of the theater’s staff

‘Conjuring’ Short Film Winner ‘The Nurse’ Announced (Watch It Here)

Last month, a short film contest for Annabelle: Creation (review), from director David F. Sandberg, was announced. Filmmakers were asked to create a short film, lasting 2 minutes or less, that would fit into The Conjuring universe. Filmmaker Julian Terry’s The Nurse has been named the winner for the US portion with his film The Nurse. The UK and Mexico winners are still out. As part of his prize, he will be going on an all-expense paid trip to Hollywood where he will meet with New Line Cinema and David F. Sandberg. In the terrifying short a young girl with her eyes bandaged feels as if she’s not alone. At some point, everyone has had that feeling, like they were not alone in the dark and that something terrible is lurking close by and terror sets in. That is was the girl is feeling. Samuel Mullins worked as a toy-maker, and his specialty was crafting custom dolls. He worked from a shop situated in a building that lay adjacent to the home he shared with his wife Esther and their young daughter, Annabelle. One of his creations was a very distinctive looking doll, which was intended to be a limited edition of only 100. With The Nun, The Crooked Man, and The Conjuring 3 ,all in the works the universe seems to be expanding by leaps and bounds. Let’s not forget that Annabelle: Creation, from David F. Sandberg, will be opening in theaters this weekend. During a conversation with EW, producer-writer-director James Wan gave fans a tease of what they can expect from The Crooked Man, as well as giving an update on The Nun and The Conjuring 3. Wan stated that Corin Hardy’s Conjuring spin-off, The Nun, is now in post-production. The film centers on the back story of the Nun that stalked Lorraine warren, played by Vera Farmiga, in The Conjuring 2. ‘Annabelle: Creation’ Scores An Unbelievable Rating From Rotten Tomatoes

Back last year it was announced that a sequel was in the works for Annabelle, a spin-off of The Conjuring. Many found that the original Annabelle film fell flat, however it was no surprise when Annabelle 2: Creation was announced. Fans were questioning if the sequel, directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out), would be better than the first. Rotten Tomatoes, know for having often brutal reviews, has given us the answer of if the film is any good. The film scoring site has given Annabelle: Creation a score of 100 which is extremely rare. The Conjuring brought home a score of 86% and The Conjuring 2 got an 80% rating, making Annabelle: Creation the highest ranking film of the franchise. The Conjuring 3 Now Possesses A Writer

The Conjuring 3 now possesses a writer. David Leslie Johnson has signed on to write the screenplay for the next film of the ever growing franchise that has just announced its latest spin-off, a movie about the “Crooked Man” featured in The Conjuring 2, which he wrote. He was also behind the disturbing thriller Orphan. The buzz is James Wan, who directed the first film and the second which he co-wrote along with Carey and Chad Hayes, won’t be directing the third installment. This go-around Wan will produce through his company Atomic Monster along with Peter Safran. While the plot has not been revealed we do know that it will continue to document Ed and Lorraine’s investigations. The Conjuring franchise is quickly becoming one of the biggest franchises in the genre. The number of spin-offs keeps multiplying including Annabelle and Annabelle 2: Creation, The Nun which has entered production, and a possible Crooked Man film in the works. Now, The Conjuring is getting a third film. During an interview with CinemaBlend, producer Peter Safran talks about the next installment that will continue to explore the supernatural and paranormal investigations by Ed and Loraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, and how The Conjuring 3 will be very different from its predecessors. Another Spin-Off For The Conjuring 2 ?

The Conjuring is headed towards being the franchise with the most spin-offs in history. There is possibly another spin-off on its way. And no, I’m not talking about Annabelle 2: Creation or The Nun. Annabelle: Creation producer Peter Safran said something very interesting while talking with JoBlo recently. He said that it is a possibility that the “Crooked Man” from The Conjuring 2 may get a film of his own. “…I suspect a movie with him would be really really cool.” He continued, “…we have some interesting ideas for him. So we’ll see.” The creepy long-legged entity, played by Javier Botet, was not CGI like many thought. That was just Botet in a skin tight suit. Safran explains, “None of it was CG. It was 100% practical. That actor just looks like that, we created an amazing wardrobe for him. Skin tight latex-basically suit.” I could definitely see a whole film based on the character, he is creepy as hell.
