Movie Review: Hunting Grounds is Big on Feet and Short on Frights

When someone says the word Sasquatch, for most people it brings to mind the Patterson–Gimlin film footage of Bigfoot striding along Bluff Creek back in October of 1967. Many, including myself, believe that cryptid creatures exist in our world despite the fact that we may never have seen them. Of course if there was a chance to actually see a cryptid, certainly most would prefer a passive encounter at a safe distance. But if you wander into their territory, there are no guarantees of hospitality. This is a lesson that a group of men are about to learn the hard way. Tragedy has struck leaving Michael Crew motherless and Roger Crew a widower. They are at rock bottom having no money and no home except for an old ramshackle cabin located deep in the woods of northern Washington State. This is a situation that will push an already strained relationship between this father and son, to its absolute breaking point.

Marcus Bradford’s highly-anticipated supernatural thriller ‘Witchula’ has snagged a deal with the indie film production company Regions International. Bill Oberst Jr. Will Face A Beast In The ‘Darkest Night’

Genre star Bill Oberst Jr. will take on a beast in the upcoming thriller ‘Darkest Night’, based on the novel of the same name, from Michael Sean Erickson. ‘Darkest Night’ has now entered pre-production and will begin filming in Los Angeles soon. From the Press Release: Los Angeles, California: Pre-production has started on the horror film Darkest Night. From writer Michael Sean Erickson’s book of the same name, this feature will star: Bill Oberst Jr. (Stressed to Kill), Robert LaSardo (Anarchy Parlor), Noel Gugliemi (Basement Jack), and Mykayla Sohn (The Chosen). Exclusive: The First Trailer For Death House Is Here And It’s Incredible !

The first full trailer for ‘Death House’ has arrived and it is incredible! From Harrison Smith (Zombie Killers: Elephant’s Graveyard,The Fields, 6 Degrees of Hell, Camp Dread) comes a horror film the likes of which we’ve never seen. No other horror film in history has had such an enormous cast of genre icons. In the film, “Agents Toria Boon and Jae Novak have their own dark pasts, arriving at Death House to tour its levels and observe its denizens first hand as well as the medical and mental experiments of Drs. Eileen Fletcher and Karen Redmane—their depraved experiments date back to the Nazi doctors of World War II. Prison cells are virtual reality holodecks that recreate prisoner environments before they were incarcerated. A special hallucinogenic gas keeps inmates under control. The victims are homeless bused into Death House to play literal victims while killing habits are studied. The results are sick, but only a hint of what goes on here.

HEIR, From Fatal Pictures, Is A Truly Disturbing Short Film

HEIR Written and Directed by Richard Powell Starring – Bill Oberst Jr. as Denis, Robert Nolan as Gordon and Mateo D’Avino as Paul . Everyone has desires, nobody is exempt from this. Some of these desires are beyond the pale, and are considered to be taboo or even perverse. Gordon has such a yearning he wishes to fulfill and makes arrangements with another party, so to do. What is more – he intends to involve his own son. With his son (or shall we say heir) Paul in tow, Gordon heads to the restaurant that was chosen as a meeting place. There Gordon and Paul meet Denis, who is supposedly an old friend of Gordon’s. After a quick getting to know you period, they all head Back to Denis’ house to further “socialize” That, which Denis and Gordon have planned, is unsettling. Witchula Finds First Poster And Production Deal

MAB Studios has officially announced a co-production with the British indie production company Silent Studios for Marcus Bradford’s Witchula. Bradford co-wrote and co-directed the film along with Pat Kusnadi (The Id, Down With David). Bill Oberst Jr., who has also had an impressive career in film and television, with his most recent role in the upcoming film Death House, stars alongside Eileen Dietz, who played the demon in horror classic The Exorcist, Marilyn Ghigliotti (Rogue Warrior), Ruth Reynolds (VooDoo), Destiny Soria (SomeFangs), Tade Adepoyibi (Murder in the First), Jeremy Tristan (American Grace), Anil Sankaramanchi (All for Amy) and Joseph Love (Alternate Realities). The father and son have no idea that there is a tribe of Sasquatch are determined to protect their land in the woods that surround the family’s new home. The New Trailer For All Hallows’ Eve 2 Is A Real Treat

All Hallows’ Eve 2, released on VOD this past October, arrives on DVD on February 2nd. The film was directed by Andres Borghi, Jay Holben, Elias Benavides, Bryan Norton, Antonio Padovan, Ryan Patch, Marc Roussel and the Kondelik Brothers. Andrea Monier, Damien Monier and Bill Oberst Jr. star in this Halloween themed anthology. In the sequel to 2013’s All Hallows’ Eve, a young woman finds herself alone on Halloween and discovers a mysterious VHS tape on her doorstep. The tape reveals a series of terrifying tales that appear to be all to real. The sights she has seen are not the only thing stalking her, a sinister, pumpkin-faced killer is using the tape as a portal to enter our reality.
