Bruce Campbell Speaks Out About Ash’s Fate

Just days after Starz announced it had cut down “Ash vs Evil Dead“, one of our favorite series, Ash himself, Bruce Campbell, had a few words for fans and a statement about the future Ashley “Ash” Williams. According to Campbell, after Sunday, April 29th’s season finale we will say our final farewell the suave, chainsaw-handed character we fell in love with in Sam Raimi’s The Evil Dead back in 1981. There is an article from Bloody-Disgusting with instructions on how to send Starz a message that we want the big guy back, but Campbell has since made it known in no uncertain terms that Ash is officially retired. But, you can’t blame fans for trying. Big props to fans for the effort, but I’m retired as Ash. #timetofrysomeotherfish https://t.co/Di1aeBV0dl — Bruce Campbell (@GroovyBruce) April 23, 2018 No one will ever fill those groovy’s shoes. Goodbye Ash, we’re going to miss you!

Let’s be honest, we all want Bruce Campbell for our very own. I mean, come on, he’s awesome in every way. Now we can, sort of. In season 2 of ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’, we met “Ashy Slashy“, the evil puppet version of our favorite man with the killer chin, as he and Kelly fought the puppet while in the abandoned mental institution. NECA has just unveiled the packaging for their new 15-inch tall “Ashy Slashy” replica puppet. And the good news, you can own one (or give one) before the holidays. Can you imagine waking up on Christmas morning and finding an “Ashy Slashy” puppet under the tree? That would be groovy, am I right? From NECA: Every day can be demented play day with your very own Ashy Slashy puppet from Season 2 of Ash vs. Evil Dead! We’ve replicated Ash’s potty-mouthed little doppelganger from the asylum episodes for your (hopefully G-rated) entertainment. This is a working puppet –

Bruce Campbell Gives An Update On The Status of ‘Bubba-Ho-Tep 2’

Bubba-Ho-Tep might be one of the weirdest little horror comedies ever made, starring Bruce Campbell as a man who claims to be an elderly Elvis (The King playing The King), a black JFK, and a soul sucking mummy dressed like John Wayne. None of it really makes much (or any) sense, but Bubba rises above the sum of its jumbled parts, turning into one of the most absurd and hilarious horror comedies of it’s era. The original released way back in 2002, leaving fans moaning for a sequel; a sequel they unfortunately aren’t going to get. The culprit? Well, it pains me to say this, but Bruce Campbell. “I killed it,” Campbell told EW Channel’s Entertainment Weirdly show. “I killed it for me. I told the creators that I didn’t want to dance around it anymore. I feel that the first one was a nice little gem and you don’t have to make a sequel for everything.“ Well damn. It
