A First Look At New Comic ‘Chained to the Grave’ From Deadpool’s Brian Level

IDW is gearing up to unleash the first issue of the new supernatural comic Chained to the Grave, a five-issue comic book series with Old West action, a wholly unique visual style, and supernatural weirdness aplenty! From the creative team of co-writers Brian Level (Darth Vader, Thanos, Deadpool) and Andy Eschenbach (Heavy Metal Magazine, Red Shoes) and artist Kate Sherron (Invader Zim, The Amazing World of Gumball), Chained to the Grave is an original tale of intrigue, murder, and magic meant for mature audiences. In the comic, “Outlaw Roy Mason has come back from the dead, chained to the headstone that marked his grave. It’s a lawless time, a magical time, and the undead Roy finds himself caught between a rock and a hard place as he sets out in search of treasure. But Roy, trying to do right by the wife and children he left behind, soon finds out that everything is not always as it seems…” You can

Brightburn’s Timothy Williams Talks Music, Superheroes, And Much More In An Interview

While a film’s soundtrack may not be at the forefront of films, it should be. Music is the heartbeat of a film, controlling pace and emotion. Timothy Williams, a composer, has created many of those melodies heard in films such as Get Out, IT, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Deadpool 2. I sat down with Williams to talk about one of his most recent projects, creating the scores for James Gunn’s new film Brightburn, part superhero movie, part horror film. In the film, a couple (Elizabeth Banks and David Denman) adopt a baby from another world. They raise the boy (Jackson A. Dunn) to use his powers for good, but evil begins to grow within him. Written by James Gunn and Mark Gunn, Brightburn takes over theaters on May 24, 2019, from Sony Pictures. Horror Fuel: “You’ve worked on so many amazing projects, do you have a favorite so far?” Tim Williams: “That’s a difficult question because I’ve enjoyed working

Ryan Reynolds Is Making A Horror Movie Based On Reddit Story!

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds is adapting one of Reddit‘s most terrifying tale, “The Patient Who Nearly Drove Me Out of Medicine” written by Jasper DeWitt who is working with Reynolds and 20th Century on the film. The story, published two years ago in nine parts, centers on a doctor and psychiatric patient who has spent over twenty years in a hospital without a diagnosis and is known as a man “so intractable that no one bothered to read his file anymore.” Jeremy Kramer is overseeing the project for Fox, with Natalie Lehmann of New Regency, George Dewey and Patrick Gooing for Maximum Effort, and Vertigo’s Liya Gao. Reynolds will also produce. At this time no director or cast have been announced, according to Variety.

‘My Name Is Death’, The Perfect Dark Humor Webtoon

Again on Line Webtoon, I’ve discovered a little gem, a comic by Spanish artist Rumbo (Josué Rumbo) titled My name is Death. The comic follows the grim reaper himself and the shenanigans that arise as he works. Death himself looks a bit different from what we think of him, he’s a little guy with a wicked sense of humor that resembles Deadpool (who makes an appearance in one of the comics.) The comics are a perfect mix of silliness, pop culture references, and at times social commentary. When the series first started the drawings looked different but as the series progresses the drawings become cleaner (thanks to donations from readers) Overall, My name is Death is a funny little comic strip that updates weekly if you like dark humor, sarcasm, and even a little cuteness; this comic is for you! You can read it HERE, you can also check out My name is Death on Facebook and Twitter and you

‘Clue’ Remake In The Works

Fox is letting Ryan Reynolds extend his wings and going solo with producing his first movie with his company Maximum Effort and the movie he’ll be working on, a live-action adaptation of the popular board game Clue. No details of the story had been released but Reynolds will be teaming up with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick who he has already worked with before on both Deadpool films. A film version of the game already exists and attempts to remake it has come up in 2011 and 2016 with the projects being abandoned. The original film was made in 1985 and starred Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, and Lesley Ann Warren. The comedic twist of the game’s storyline where Curry’s character, the butler Wadsworth, takes the colorful characters on a marathon of sleuthing to solve the murder of Mr. Boddy who was murdered by one of the guests he was blackmailing. The film

Marvel’s Glenn Herdling Takes Us Inside His New Novels In An Interview

I sat down with Glenn Herdling to talk comics and to discuss the first two novels of his ‘Piper’ Series. During our conversation, he also told me about his days as a Marvel Editor and a comic book writer. He took us inside the first novel, ‘Piper Houdini: Apprentice of Coney Island’, and revealed how the character was born and teased where the second book, ‘Piper Houdini: Nightmare on Esopus Island’, will take readers. Horror Fuel: “So, comics, huh?” Glenn Herdling: “Yeah, comics. I have some experiences with writing some horror things for Marvel in my time there including one of the long forgotten characters, Simon Garth, the original Marvel Zombie. I brought him into the fold. He isn’t really a toxic zombie, more of a Voodoo zombie type. That’s what I have in the Piper Houdini novel, Voodoo zombies.” Horror Fuel: “I’m a big fan of Voodoo zombies.” Glenn Herdling: “Yeah, they are a lot of fun. They bring

Fans On A Mission To Get Jen And Sylvia Soska On As Directors For Deadpool 2

Deadpool is one of the best movies released this year. Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are already hard at work on the script for ‘Deadpool 2’. Unfortunately, the film has hit a speed bump. Director Tim Miller has stepped away from the project due to “mutual creative differences” with star Ryan Reynolds who plays Deadpool, according to EW. The film may not be without a director long. Horror fans are pushing for the sister directing duo of Jen and Sylvia Soska to direct. Fans are Tweeting, posting on Facebook and Instagram in hopes that the studio will pay attention and sign the Twisted Twins to the project. The multi-talented sisters have several titles on their list, like ‘American Mary’ and ‘See No Evil 2’. They also host GSN’s competition series ‘Hellevator’. They are extremely talented and we would love to see them direct a big budget film. With the help of fans they will. The ladies have a lot

An Original Star Is Returning For Zombieland 2 – Now In Development

Fans of ‘Deadpool’ were elated to learn that the foul-mouthed anti-hero would be getting a sequel by the same team who penned the original, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Well, fans will be waiting a little longer than they expected to see ‘Deadpool’ back in action. Reese and Wernick have another project they have been working on, ‘Zombieland 2’, and it’s finally moving forward. We reported back in April that ‘Zombieland 2’ was one of the projects announced by Sony at CinemaCon, but it’s great to hear from the screenwriters themselves that the film is picking up momentum. The sequel to 2009’s zombie hit has been in the works since the first film’s release. Though there have been a few speed-bumps, it seems the sequel is finally coming together. During a recent episode of AMC’s ‘Geeking Out’ with Kevin Smith and Greg Grunberg the screenwriting duo revealed that they are indeed currently working on ‘Zombieland 2’. That is breaking news
