One of my favorite things about the Tremors franchise is that the graboids are an ever evolving creatures. From the original Graboids to Shriekers all the way to Ass-blasters. Tremors 6 will be continuing that evolution. Director Don Michael Paul recently revealed a few hints on Facebook, including that fans might “get an icy glimpse of a Dirt Devil as you’ve never seen it before!!!!” We have also learned that the Graboids will be modified, but who is behind it? In Tremors 6, Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and his son Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) find themselves up to their ears in Graboids and Ass-Blasters when they head to Canada to investigate a series of deadly giant-worm attacks. Arriving at a remote research facility in the arctic tundra, Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is sidelined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is

We reported earlier this month that ‘Tremors VI’ had begun filming in Cape Town, South Africa. We told you that Michael Gross and Jamie Kennedy are returning to reprise their roles as father and son Graboid hunters. Today, we have great news for fans of the ‘Tremors’ franchise, we have the synopsis and it’s nothing like you have seen from the franchise before. The Graboids have evolved throughout the ‘Tremors’ franchise. This time, they are going high-tech, they are being weaponized. We reported earlier in January that ‘Tremors VI’ was set to begin filming. It has now begun. Earlier today Michael Gross, who stars as graboid hunter/gun enthusiast Burt Gummer, shaved his head and trimmed his mustache, a tradition he has performed before each of the ‘Tremors’ movies filmed its first scene. Jamie Kennedy, who co-starred as Burt’s son in ‘Tremors V: Blood Lines’, will be returning along with director Don Michael Paul for ‘Tremors VI’ which will be filming in Cape Town, South Africa. So far, only two other cast members have officially been announced, Tanya van Graan (Death Race: Inferno) and Greg Kriek (Blood and Glory). One interesting thing about the movie is that while Kevin Bacon starred in the original film and will be headlining the ‘Tremors’ television series, he will not be appearing in ‘Tremors VI’. Hopefully the plot will be announced soon. We will keep you posted as more details are revealed.

Last October the fifth film in the ‘Tremors’ franchise, ‘Tremors V: Bloodlines‘, landed Burt (Michael Gross) in South Africa hunting graboids along with his new cameraman. [Spoiler]The cameraman turned out to be Burts’ son, played by Jamie Kennedy. You might have thought that would he been the end of it, but you would be wrong. Today, on Facebook Gross announced that ‘Tremors VI’ is on the way. Not many details were revealed but he did say that he, Kennedy and director Don Michael Paul will be returning for the sequel. There is no word yet if any of the other previous ‘Tremors’ stars will return for the sequel. Odds are, Kevin Bacon won’t make a cameo. He has his own ‘Tremors’ project in the works, ‘Tremors: The Series‘. Bacon will be returning to his roles as Valentine “Val” McKee, one half of the duo who fought the giant critters in the original 1990 cult classic. He will also be serving
