A record number of viewers (11.2 million) tuned in for the first season of Fear the Walking Dead. In fact, Fear the Walking Dead had the highest rated first season in cable history. We witnessed new characters struggle as the virus broke out, as they lost loved ones and fought addiction, along with the fall of L.A. Come April 10th season two begins, featuring 15-episodes of action and drama. Each episode of season two will be immediately followed by The Talking Dead featuring Chris Hardwick. Fear the Walking Dead has just begun filming for its second season. The first season, filmed in Vancouver, ended with the group on the beach, with the hint that they may seek refuge from the zombie apocalypse at sea. When news broke (via IGN) that the second season is being filmed in Baja Mexico it seemed to confirm the second season will have a nautical theme. The filming location is famous for its use in movies involving ocean scenes, including in films such as Titanic. “We are thrilled to be shooting in Mexico,” David Erickson, showrunner of FTWD stated. “Baja Studios has been home to some of the greatest ocean-set films in recent years and provides all the creative resources we need to begin this new chapter in the “Fear” saga.
