Hardwick, also known as the “Nerdist” was suspended by AMC pending an investigation into allegations of sexual and emotional abuse brought on by Hardwick’s ex-girlfriend Chole Dykstra in June. AMC completed their investigation and allowed Hardwick to return to the show in which privately he apologized to staffers at a meeting. While some felt his emotional gesture was genuine, 25 staffers as well as an executive producer, left the show. during his suspension, current and former staffers described how difficult it was to work with Hardwick who they’ve said was prone to angry outbursts and loud altercations with others. Though AMC felt that Hardwick could return to host “Talking Dead” and stand by their decision, clearly 26 people felt differently in which AMC has declined to comment at this time.
