Burt Gummer to the rescue! It’s been 28 years since we were first introduced to Graboids, the giant subterranean creatures that plagued the isolated town of Perfection. Now, the sixth film of the franchise, Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell is headed to Blu-ray and DVD this May. I’ll be real honest with you, A Cold Day in Hell, in my opinion, is the best of the franchise since the original. ‘Lake Placid: Legacy’ Premieres On Syfy This May

In 1999, Lake Placid swam in and Syfy quickly went to work creating the franchise. The latest film, Lake Placid: Legacy, is set to premiere this May. Darrell Roodt directed the film, which stars Joe Pantoliano, Katherine Barrell, Tim Rozon, Sai Bennett, Luke Newton, Craig Stein, and Greg Kriek. TREMORS VI Digs Up A Release Date

Fans of the Tremors franchise have been eagerly awaiting the sixth film of the franchise. We shared the news that Tremors VI had wrapped filming on March 10th. Now, Michael Gross, who plays weapons aficionado Burt Gummer, announced via Facebook that the release date has been set for the first of the year by Universal. One of my favorite things about the Tremors franchise is that the graboids are an ever evolving creatures. From the original Graboids to Shriekers all the way to Ass-blasters. Tremors 6 will be continuing that evolution. We reported earlier this month that ‘Tremors VI’ had begun filming in Cape Town, South Africa. We told you that Michael Gross and Jamie Kennedy are returning to reprise their roles as father and son Graboid hunters. Tremors VI Set To Begin Filming SOON

We reported back in October that the graboids were coming back. Today, new details emerged. We don’t a lot at this point, but we do know that Michael Gross, who has played the role of graboid hunter/gun enthusiast Burt Gummer, and Jamie Kennedy, who co-starred as Burt’s son in ‘Tremors V: Blood Lines’, will be returning along with director Don Michael Paul for ‘Tremors VI’. Gross announced that the sequel is set to begin filming next week, via his Facebook page. NEXT WEEK, Jamie Kennedy and Burt Gummer are off to South Africa to film the latest Tremors sequel.
