When you think about the holiday season one of the first things that pop into your mind is the food and sitting around the table with your loved ones. Every family has its own traditions and many times that includes meals. That’s exactly what the holiday horror film Mercy Christmas is about, with a twist. The Robillard family has a unique way of celebrating the holiday. When Michael Brisket gets drafted to work on his boss Andy Robillard’s presentation during Christmas he thinks things couldn’t get any worse. He’s about to discover that he’s very wrong. Michael isn’t the most popular guy at work. When he throws a Christmas party he’s heartbroken when no one shows up, that is until his boss’ beautiful secretary Cindy arrives. After a night of games and eggnog, Cindy invites Michael home for the holidays. Thinking he’s hit the jackpot he agrees. At first, Cindy’s family seems great, but that changes when his boss walks

Last night I settled in to finally watch a film that I have been waiting months to see, The Autopsy of Jane Doe and it was everything I had hoped it would be. The film opens with a father-son ending the autopsy of a burn victim which actually turned out to be an accidental death. Just as the son, Austin (Emile Hirsch), is leaving with his girlfriend the sheriff turns up with a body found mysteriously buried in the basement of two murder victims. Feeling obligated to help his father, Tommy (Brian Cox), Austin delays his date to help with the body. As they begin the autopsy on the Jane Doe (Olwen Catherine Kelly) they start to notice strange things about her body. Not only has her tongue been ripped out, she’s been violated with a knife, and her organs look like they belong to a victim burned in a fire. But strangely, her body is spotless and she looks

How far would you go to save the life of your brother or sister? If they were in trouble and owed some dangerous people a lot of money would you be willing to rob a bank to help them out? In Dan Bush’s The Vault, the Dillons, a group of siblings, team up to rob a bank, but that’s not as easy as it sounds. Played by Scott Haze (Midnight Special, interview), Taryn Manning (Orange is the New Black), Francesca Eastwood (Final Girl), the Dillons and two associates, Keith Loneker (Outlaws and Angels) and Michael Milford (Deserted), are on a mission to steal enough cash to cover Michael’s (Haze) debts. Little do they know there is something inside the bank that is much more dangerous than the cops waiting outside. The highly anticipated genre film Death House, from director Harrison Smith, is approaching its fall release and we’ve reviewed it. Before we get into a review of the film, you should know about the story behind the movie. Originally, the script was penned by Texas Chainsaw Massacre Actor and genre icon Gunnar Hansen. Smith re-wrote the script, keeping Hansen’s vision intact. Smith also got the okay on the script from Hansen just before he passed away. Death House was a big undertaking. No other film in the history of horror has had such an enormous and impressive cast of well known genre actors. The cast list reads like a who’s who of horror and includes stars like Danny Trejo (Machete Kills), Tony Todd (Candyman), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Dee Wallace (Cujo), Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th), Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects), Sid Haig (The Devil’s Rejects), Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog), Barbara Crampton (We Are Still Here), Cody Longo

I’ll be honest, when I first heard about Patrick Rea’s ‘Arbor Demon‘ I didn’t expect very much. I wondered how entertaining a film could be that takes place almost entirely in a tent. I finally got to watch ‘Arbor Demon’ and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s filled with tension, drama, and horror, everything a horror film should have. Not only was it an interesting movie, it has a unique plot which goes a long way in my book. I even jumped a few times and that’s pretty rare. ‘Arbor demon’ stars Fiona Dourif as Dana, a women hiding her pregnancy from her husband (Kevin Ryan) because he has made it perfectly clear that he has no desire to have kids. The couple heads off on a camping trip to spend their last days together before he leaves for a six month tour with his band unaware of the horrors they will soon face. After arriving at

It is truly rare these days to come across a film that is truly unique. Not just unique, but brilliant. To find a film that also shines a light on a social subject that needs to be explored, to be discussed, is something bigger than just a scary movie. Writer-director Jordan Peele has created a film that is all of those things, ‘Get Out’. And I have no doubt that it is going to be an instant classic. For that reason, I will NOT spoil it for you. Besides being brilliantly written, it has all of the hallmarks of the great genre films before it. It is incredibly creepy. The expressions, movements, and tone were perfectly executed by the cast which includes Daniel Kaluuy and Allison Williams who star in the lead roles, Betty Gabriel (The Purge: Election Year), Caleb Landry Jones (X-Men series), Milton “LilRel” Howery (The Carmichael Show), Marcus Henderson (Pete’s Dragon) and Keith Stanfield (Straight Outta Compton).
