A Kafka Bug’s Life: Game Review Of ‘Metamorphosis’

All In! Games and Ovid Works sent me down the Kakfkaesque rabbit hole with their first-person platforming game, Metamorphosis. In Metamorphosis you play as Gregor Samsa who woke up one morning and realized that he turned into a bug and is now employed at a company called Tower who holds all the answers as to why this happened to Gregor and how he can turn human again. Along his journey, Gregor sees the world of insects and meets interesting individuals. Now onto the game itself! Mastering the controls is easy thanks to a tutorial in the beginning plus being made not complicated, to begin with. The movement of Gregor as an insect is fun as the movements are quick and mechanical much like a bug. Gregor can crawl up walls with the help of yellow goo that he finds piles of in certain places. ‘Metamorphosis’ Release Date Announced Along With Pre-Orders

All In! Games have announced that their upcoming first-person dive into the world of Kafka, Metamorphosis has finally found itself a release date. The game is inspired by the short story of the same name by Franz Kafka, the game follows Gregor, a man who has suddenly been transformed into an insect and now travels through the unseen world of bugs living in a unique society. Gregor will encounter interesting characters, interact with puzzles, do parkour, and use his unique bug abilities to solve the mystery behind his transformation. Right now, Metamorphosis is available to pre-order for Xbox One right now with a 10% discount. A free demo is available right now on Steam today (July 29th) to August 5th. Metamorphosis will be scurrying to Steam, GOG, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch August 12th.

Check Out The New ‘Metamorphosis’ Gameplay Trailer

All In! Games have released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming first-person surreal game based on Franz Kafka’s short story by the same name, Metamorphosis. Along with the new trailer comes news of a Demo for PC players. Players will enter the world of Metamorphosis as Gregor, a young man that woke up one morning and is now an insect. Unlike the short story, the game will take a different turn where players explore the world and see it through Gregor’s eyes as he spies on the human world and sees the Kafkaesque world of insects. PC players can download the Metamorphosis demo on Steam! Metamorphosis will scurry its way into player’s homes later this summer for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Kafkaesque Game ‘Metamorphosis’ Coming This Summer

All In! Games announced that this summer, players will get to see the world from a different perspective with their upcoming first-person game Metamorphosis, a game inspired by the short story of the same name by Franz Kafka. The short story is about a young man named Gregor who woke up one morning finding himself transformed into a large insect affecting how his once close nit family slowly turns on him due to his transformation. In the game, players take on the role of Gregor, and much like in Kafka’s story he was a man that turned into a bug but this time instead of following the original story’s narrative, Gregor goes out to find out what happened to him. Gregor must use parkour skills to move around his environment as he gets used to his new abilities as an insect. Gregor also will be solving puzzles and finding clues about the mystery surrounding his transformation as he meets interesting
