E.T. Gunnarsson Presents A Horrific And Brilliant Future in ‘Forgive Us’ – Book Review

Plot E.T. Gunnarsson, in his novel Forgive Us, provides a post-apocalyptic world that is dark, harsh, violent, and shatterlingly plausible. Post-apocalyptic stories are not a new thing. There have been countless tales of a world torn apart by various disasters, but Gunnarson offers a new element to this trope that breathes fresh horror into it. With elements of a gun-slinging western, this multi-plot novel takes readers on an adventure that is suspenseful, action-packed, exciting, terrifying, and full of gore. More than that though, the plot has depth and substance. There are, in reality, three intertwining story lines that seamlessly weave through the book and each one is gripping and strong. I give full marks for the plot(s) in this novel. Often times in multi-plot books like this I find my favorite plot and lose a bit of interest in the others, but that did not happen at all here…my favorite plot was always whichever one I was reading at the

Game Review: ‘Biomutant’

THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 were awesome enough to show me what life would be like after humans in their post-apocalyptic Action game, Biomutant. Biomutant takes place on Earth but things look really different, humanity pretty much messed the planet up so much with pollution and other man-made catastrophes that they just up and left the planet. Over the years life has changed and new races of creatures have taken over. Players take control of a One-eyed Ronin who will help save the world by saving the tree of life from the monstrous creatures called the Worldeaters. Now onto the game itself! The game’s controls can be a bit tricky as each style of weapon as well as special power-ups use different button patterns. I have played for a few hours and am still having some issue with the more advanced buttons and abilities BUT thankfully, in the character’s menu on the pause screen, you can see all the moves

Should The Bunker Open? : Game Review ‘Paradise Lost’

A big thank you to All In! Games and PolyAmorous Games for the chance to check out their alternate history Walking-Sim, Paradise Lost. The game runs similarly to Firewatch and The Suicide of Rachel Foster, while Firewatch was a good game and The Suicide of Rachel Foster desperately tried to copy it and failed to live up to its own hype, is there hope for this game or is it doomed to be left out in the cold of nuclear winter? Let’s take a look at Paradise Lost. Paradise Lost takes place in an alternative history where WWII lasted over 20 years and ends with Germany nuking most of Europe after moving all their desired citizens into a massive underground bunker system with the hopes of eventually returning to the surface with a new super army and ending the war in their favor, this never happened as the bunker is invaded by the Polish resistance who then take the bunker
