Netflix Pulls The Plug On “Santa Clarita Diet”

I guess all good things must come to an end, at least that’s the case for Netflix’s zomcom “Santa Clarita Diet“. News has come that there will be no fourth season for the series starring Drew Barrymore, Timothy Olyphant, Liv Hewson, and Skyler Gisondo. With “Santa Clarita Diet‘s” third season currently available on the streaming giant, we’ll have to say goodbye. The third season found Sheila (Barrymore) and Joel (Olyphant), two realtors living in the suburbs of L.A. seem like a normal couple except for the fact that Shelia is a zombie. This season Shelia asks Joel to convert so that they can live together forever. Their daughter Abby (Hewson) and Eric (Gisondo) fight to stay off the FBI’s radar after blowing up the fracking site last season while trying to figure out their feelings for each other. “Santa Clarita Diet“, we’re going to miss you.

Netflix Celebrates Valentine’s Day With New Santa Clarita Diet Season Three Video

To celebrate Valentine’s Day Netflix has released a heartwarming premiere announcement for the third season of their best cannibal horror comedy, “Santa Clarita Diet“. Starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant as Sheila and Joel Hammond, a couple trying their best to live a normal life after Sheila becomes a zombie. Now that she is in the advanced stages and the bodies are beginning to pile up the wife and mother, she struggles to keep her life together and her condition a secret. “NCIS: New Orleans” actress Shalita Grant has joined the cast as recurring character Tess Rogers, an FBI agent. Liv Hewson returns as the Hammond’s daughter Abby. Skyler Gisondo will reprise his character, Eric. “Santa Clarita Diet” returns to Netflix on March 29th. The first two seasons are now streaming.

Shalita Grant Sinks Her Teeth Into A New Role In Netflix’s “Santa Clarita Diet”

The third season of Netflix’s tasty horror-comedy series “Santa Clarita Diet” will be headed our way in 2019 and we can’t wait to see what happens with Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant’s characters Sheila and Joel Hammond. News has come today, via Deadline, that “NCIS: New Orleans” actress Shalita Grant has joined the cast as recurring character Tess Rogers, an FBI agent who is looking into a recent explosion at a fracking site. Santa Clarita Diet was created by Victor Fresco, who also serves as showrunner. Fresco, Barrymore, Olyphant, Kaplan, Katsky, Chris Miller, and Ember Truesdell executive produce. Nancy Juvonen serves as a producer for the hit show. If you haven’t seen this series (you need too), or need to catch up, both season one and two are now streaming on Netflix.

Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant will soon be returning to Netflix for season 2 of the zomedy (zombie-comedy) “Santa Clarita Diet”. I don’t know about you, but we couldn’t be happier, the show has it all. Drew Barrymore Producing The CW’s New Horror Anthology Series ‘Black Rose’

Drew Barrymore is a busy lady. Not only is she the star of Netflix’s series ‘Santa Clarita Diet’, she is gearing up to deliver a new horror anthology to The CW. The series, titled ‘Black Rose’, is currently in development from Flower Films, according to Deadline. The series will be both written and directed by women with Barrymore serving as a producer. The pilot episode of ‘Black Rose’ will be penned by Jill Blotevogel who is the former co-showrunner of MTV’s ‘Scream: The TV Series’. The series will explore “some of humanity’s deepest fears from a woman’s unique perspective. Classic themes of terror will be tackled via vignettes about guilt, jealousy, repression, paranoia, insanity, sexual obsession and survival through a modern and distinctly feminine lens.” For many years the male dominated film and television industry has been run by men who often miss the value of a real woman’s perspective. Netflix Announces Season 2 Of Santa Clarita Diet With Body Parts

Fans fell hard for the charming, quirky, and gore filled series Santa Clarita Diet, starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant. Luckily, today Netflix officially announced that the hit horror-comedy will be getting a second season. In season one, Joel (Timothy Olyphant) and Sheila (Drew Barrymore), husband and wife realtors, are leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenaged daughter Abby (Liv Hewson), until Sheila goes through a dramatic change sending their lives down a road of death and destruction…but in a good way. Showrunner Victor Fresco (My Name is Earl) serves as executive producer along with Barrymore, Aaron Kaplan, Timothy Olyphant, Tracy Katsky, Ember Trusdell and Chris Miller. The new twist on the zombie genre is a breath of fresh air. Season one left fans begging for more and Netflix has granted their wish. Season 2 of Santa Clarita Diet will premiere sometime in 2018.
