Episode Review: The Purge Season 2 Premiere

USA is gearing up to unleash the second season of “The Purge”. This time around we will see how the annual night of lawlessness affects people the other 364 days of the year, which is a first. I had the opportunity to see the premiere episode, titled “This is Not a Test,” ahead of its release that sets the stage for the rest of the season. We meet Derek Luke’s Marcus who is attacked in his home by a mysterious man, Max Martini and his crew who are spending their Purge night robbing a bank, a woman working for the city who witnesses the death of a friend, and a college student who is trapped by a killer. The episode hops between the three stories but does so in a seamless manner. Horror Fuel Reviews The Premiere Of TNT’s “I Am The Night”

“Into Am the Night“, the new series from TNT has just premiered and I ‘d like to share my thoughts with you. The series centers on Pat, a beautiful young woman searching for where she belongs and a family hiding dark secrets. Pat’s mother is a verbally abusive alcoholic who resents her daughter. She blames Pat for her failed dream to become a singer. Despite this, Pat has grown into a sweet, but naive young woman. When she learns that she was adopted she searches through her mother’s things and discovers her birth certificate. Upon ambushing her mother with her discovery she learns that her real name is Fauna Hodel. Desperate to learn more about her family she calls her grandfather George and is invited to visit L.A. Following a fight with her mom she sets off to meet her birth family, not knowing the dangers she will soon face. The series also follows disgraced journalist Jay Singletary (Chris Pine),

Review: The Premier Of MTV’s ‘Scream’

Last night the new series ‘Scream’ premiered on MTV. The story line was something we have seen so many times before, a teenager is singled out and their life made a living hell. The cool kids extend an invitation for a party and then, blah, blah, blah, you know the story. I kept waiting for the moment when the series to show some sort of resemblance to ‘Scream’ the movie. The only thing the two have in common is the name and the killer wore a mask. The dialogue and the story line were both shallow. I found it difficult to get interested in the episode. My verdict? The ‘Scream’ series is about as entertaining as watching paint dry. Would I recommend it? No.
