“Penny Dreadful” Spin-Off Is Heading To The “City Of Angels”

Back in 2016 were saddened when we learned that “Penny Dreadful” was canceled. Fans of the series will be thrilled to learn that Showtime has just ordered the spinoff, titled “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels“. The new series will longer be set in London, instead, it will be set in 1938 Los Angeles, “a time and place deeply infused with Mexican-American folklore and social tension,” Showtime has said. “City of Angels” will explore the reality of the Depression-era, the supernatural, the occult and true history, according to The Wrap. ‘Penny Dreadful: City of Angels’ will have a social consciousness and historical awareness that we chose not to explore in the ‘Penny Dreadful’ London storylines,” Logan said. “We will now be grappling with specific historical and real-world political, religious, social and racial issues. In 1938, Los Angeles was facing some hard questions about its future and its soul. Our characters must do the same. There are no easy answers. There are

Another Spin-Off For The Conjuring 2 ?

The Conjuring is headed towards being the franchise with the most spin-offs in history. There is possibly another spin-off on its way. And no, I’m not talking about Annabelle 2: Creation or The Nun. Annabelle: Creation producer Peter Safran said something very interesting while talking with JoBlo recently. He said that it is a possibility that the “Crooked Man” from The Conjuring 2 may get a film of his own. “…I suspect a movie with him would be really really cool.” He continued, “…we have some interesting ideas for him. So we’ll see.” The creepy long-legged entity, played by Javier Botet, was not CGI like many thought. That was just Botet in a skin tight suit. Safran explains, “None of it was CG. It was 100% practical. That actor just looks like that, we created an amazing wardrobe for him. Skin tight latex-basically suit.” I could definitely see a whole film based on the character, he is creepy as hell.

The Director Of Annabelle 2 Says It Will Be Better Than The Original

2013’s genre hit The Conjuring not only laid a path for it’s sequel, which is now in theaters nationwide, it also gave life to a spin-off. Annabelle introduced us to the haunted doll that in real life came into the possession of Ed and Lorraine Warren, the main characters of both The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2, and real life paranormal investigators. While The Conjuring 2 continues to wow at the box office, the sequel to Annabelle is already entering production. David F. Sandberg (Lights Out) will be directing Annabelle 2 and, he already seems very excited about the film. Sandberg even called the sequel “The Godfather II of creepy doll movies,” while speaking to Bloody-Disgusting. I don’t think I can give too many details at this point but it’s not a continuation of the first film,” Sandberg stated. “That’s one of the many things that enticed me with the project, that it’s a new story. Also the setting and
