Once we had seen the film we realized it was wasn’t really a remake at all, it’s an altogether different experience, and gloriously exhilarating and disturbing in its own unique way.” La Boca Studio has stated. We decided to base our design around the ‘Volk’ dance performance which appears late in the movie. The dance is such a pivotal scene, full of all the right kinds of tension and energy. We set about creating the design as if it were a poster for Volk, almost so one could imagine the artwork appearing on a wall within the film

While talking to the Italian outlet La Repubblica, the director revealed that he shared his version of Dario Argento’s classic to Tarantino. I showed it to Quentin Tarantino. We’ve been friends since our jury duty at the Venice Film Festival,” Guadagnino said. “I was nervous but eager to hear his advice. We saw it at his place and his reaction warmed me. Because it’s a horror movie but also a melodrama, my goal was to make you look at the horror without being able to take [your eyes off the screen] because you’re captivated by the characters. Amazon is very happy.” Dakota Jonson stars in Guadagnino’s Suspiria as an aspiring dancer who uncovers dark secrets in her
