If I told you there’s a game about environmentalist werewolves that fight big oil/pharma, you would say that I’ve strolled too long on the dark web, well guess what, there is a game like that, and thanks to the folks at Cyanide Studios and Nacon have brought the tabletop RPG by World of Darkness and White Wolf Publishing to life in the game Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is based on the tabletop RPG from the 90’s that takes players to a world where spirits affect worldly events and from the shadows are the Garou, a race of werewolves who fight to keep the order and balance but have their work cut out for them as one of these spiritual forces known as the Wyrm has become hell-bent on the complete and utter destruction of the world and influences corporations such as the fossil fuel industry. 2020 has been a busy year of gaming and horror-themed games certainly were not in short supply! Going back through the games that were reviewed this year, I picked out games that stayed true to the genre of horror as well as a couple of games balanced on being considered horror or not but were still great games. So here’s the list of the top horror games reviewed, starting from the worst! The Suicide of Rachael Foster With an intriguing title that is more of a place card for what the game should really be called, “Firewatch copycat”, the game tries to scare but fails to do so with a story that needed a longer game in order to tell it fully but instead kept it short and garbled making it the worst game reviewed on Horror Fuel in 2020. Today NACON Gaming and Cyanide Studios released a six-minute gameplay trailer with commentary by Cyanide’s game director Julien “Patch” Desourteaux for their upcoming RPG Werewolf: The Apocalypse- Earthblood that’s set to be released February 4th, 2021. The trailer showcases the abilities of the game’s protagonist Cahal, a werewolf, along with a look at how combat in the game will look like. Cahal can use his human form to interact with the environment and interact with other characters, his wolf form allows him to move quickly and sneak around, and finally, his “crinos” form (werewolf form) which is his combat form where players can switch his “stances” to suit their combat needs may it be strength or agility. Pre-orders are now available through respective platforms stores (PlayStation, Microsoft, and Epic Store); those who pre-order a digital copy will get some cosmetic bonuses for Cahal’s appearance. NACON and Cyanide Studios have released the latest trailer for their upcoming Werewolf RPG, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, in which the trailer offers insight into the game’s protagonist, Cahal, a Werewolf. Cahal is on a journey of redemption after being forced out of the Fianna tribe due to his uncontrollable rage brought on by the mistreatment and threat to Gaia (Mother Earth) by the petroleum company Endron, who is the cause of the misfortune in Cahal’s life. Cahal can take on the form of man, wolf, and werewolf as he fights his enemies so that he can be reunited with his family and put a stop to Endron. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood will be making you howl at the moon next year.

Today NACON Gaming and Cyanide Studio released the first cinematic trailer for their upcoming horror RPG game, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood along with more details about the game. The trailer focuses on the game’s protagonist Cahal. Cahal can transform into a wolf which allows him to see the true nature in people and he can transform into a Werewolf and fight against his supernaturally corrupted human enemies. Cahal is on a mission to save his daughter but must do so by way of going on a path of redemption by waging war against a corrupt oil company that threatens the natural world and the homeland of Cahal’s people, The Garous. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood will be coming 2020 to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

At PDXCoN in Berlin, game publisher Bigben announced Cyanide Studios’ upcoming RPG horror game, WEREWOLF: The Apocalypse – Earthblood based on the pen and paper tabletop RPG game by the same name The game centers around an exiled Werewolf named Cahal, who is now on a path of redemption as he comes to the aide of his tribe whose sanctuary and ancestral lands are under threat by Endron, the oil-producing subsidiary of the multinational company Pentex. Endron is establishing a drilling operation near the Werewolves’ sanctuary and destroying the natural resources in the region, putting Cahal’s tribe at risk. Players will battle on as Cahal, who can turn into a Werewolf when enraged, and help save the same people that exiled him. The challenge for players is to keep Cahal’s rage in check and only allow him to become a Werewolf when needed. That’s all for now but rest to sure I’ll be keeping an eye or two out for
