The first photos from the upcoming and final film of the ‘Resident Evil’ franchise are beginning to surface. Mila Jovovich is once again playing her role as zombie ass-kicking Alice, Ali Larder (Heroes) is returning to her role as Claire Redfield, Iain Glen will once again play Dr. Alexander and Shawn Robert is also returning to his character Albert Wesker. New cast members were recently announced including ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress Ruby Rose who will play Abigail, Eoin Macken will star as “Doc”. Cuban-American actor William Levy, voted one of People’s 50 most beautiful people, has been cast as Christian. Japanese model Rola will play Cobalt and the role of Michael will be played by Fraser James.
‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ will pick up where ‘Retribution’ ended. In the sequel, the human race is barely hanging on after hordes of the undead have over run the world, thanks to the Umbrella Corporation. Alice must return to Raccoon City where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering forces for the final attack on the remaining survivors of humanity. Alice has lost her super human abilities and must rely on her team of new and old allies to help her fight the most difficult battle yet and save what’s left of humanity.
‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will debut in theaters on January 27, 2017. In the mean time, here are some photos from the set and filming to wet your appetite.
