Last year the dangerous Momo Challenge went viral before the world learned the image behind it was actually a sculpture by artist Keisuke Aisawa called “Mother Bird”. It was only a matter of time before someone turned it into a movie. Orion Pictures is reportedly doing just that. Orion has now revealed that it has plans to make a movie based on the hoax.

The studio is teaming up with Roy Lee‘s production company Vertigo Entertainment with producer Taka Ichise at the helm. Ichise and Lee have teamed up before to deliver the remake of The Grudge and a new Grudge remake which is set to open in theaters early next year.
