At Camp Dread nothing is what it seems to be. Campers who have legal, drug or other serious issues have been forced to go to the camp by their parents. The campers have a choice to go head to head in a competition on what they think is a reality show. The last camper standing wins one million dollars. What the campers don’t realize is that writer/director Julian Barrett played by Eric Roberts, has something more devious in mind for the teens.

This movie has twists you never see coming. With a fresh idea and unique story line writer/director Harrison Smith brings back the feel of the slasher summer camp movies of the 80’s. Made on a small budget, Camp Dread still packs quite a punch. This movie is a great fit for slasher movie fans.

Camp Dread stars Eric Roberts, who has had roles in over a hundred movies including The Dark Knight, The Human Centipede III and Assault On Wall Street. Danielle Harris, plays the role of a deputy who is also Julian Barrett’s partner in crime. Danielle has starred in many films including See No Evil 2 and Halloween (2007). Felissa Rose, who plays a camp councilor also starred in the 80’s slasher movie Sleepaway Camp 1983) .

Camp Dread was written and directed by Harrison Smith who also wrote the script and produced 6 Degrees Of Hell (2012) and The Fields (2011). Smith wrote and directed Zombie Killers: Elephant’s Graveyard which will be released in 2015. It’s sequel Zombie Killers: Devolution has already been approved for production.
