In ‘Forbidden Empire’ Jonathan Green, an 18th century English Cartographer, sets out to chart the unknown lands of Transylvania. When he arrives, he discovers dangerous creatures lurking in a cursed Ukrainian town, deep within a dark forest.
Oleg Stepchenko directs this fantastic, fun trip into the darkness, which was written by Nikolai Gogol and Aleksandr Karpov. Jason Flemyng (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) stars as Dzhonatan Grin, the main character of this horror-fantasy film. The cast of ‘Forbidden Empire’ also includes Andrey Smolyakov (Stalingrad), Aleksey Chadov (Stalingrad), Agnia Ditkovskite (Zhara) and Igor Jijikine (The Tourist).
The cinematography looks rich and the effects impressive. This is going to the top of my must see list.
‘Forbidden Empire’ will be released on May 22, 2015.
